The word ‘prostitution’ or ‘prostitutes’ conjures up an image of women leading a sinful life. In the good old days they were totally ostracized and that led to them living miserable lives sometimes seen begging on the streets. Even those who visited them were condemned and their wives left them. But those in power continued that practice and remained unscathed.
Prostitution is supposed to be the oldest profession. If it is a profession then why do people look at it with colored glasses.
But the thinking is slowly changing and many wives prefer this to having a relationship with another woman on a fixed basis.
– Wives do not give them sexual satisfaction which is a biological need.
– Some wives do not provide mental stimulus. There are many highly educated prostitutes who are better known as Escorts. Well placed men in society require to spend time with these Escorts who again are not permanent companions and therefore may not adversely affect their relationship with their partners hopefully.
– With precautions there is no fear these days of anyone contracting Sexually Transmitted diseases.
-There is enough privacy and therefore those who consider this relationship as taboo will not know about it.
-And last but not the least unmarried men who resort to this mode often meet their life partners here.
Great caution however is needed when it comes to making choices . Sadly many men visit these joints under the influence of liquor and could be making the greatest mistake of their lives with their choices. Likewise the prostitutes also need to be cautious when offering their services

Prostitution is the oldest profession. You are right at this point. It has been an old issue and still not acceptable in society. I heard in another country, but I heard that they need to have permits to work as prostitutes in the community. Most men indulge in this kind of lifestyle.
It is a sad thing that most men avail the services of these women. They do take risks for health reasons. Can we blame them? There are so many reasons why they do it. That includes the reasons you had mentioned.
