Paper phonebook is useful nowadays

Now a days we all rely too much on electronics, we tend to use it too much but forget that there comes a time where blackouts can happen. If this happens, landlines usually work but if you don’t have the numbers that are important how do you call them?

Sometimes we have this problem at work were my boss has all of the phone numbers on his cellphone but if he isn’t here then we can’t call the people we need to call. We were supposed to copy all of the contacts to the computer but we never know if the light is going to go out or not. So i decided to pass all the contacts to a notebook.

It is safer because we never know if a computer is going to crash down and have problems, we might lose information on the computer or lights ou.

It is very important to have these contacts out of electronics so we can use them whenever we need to. Plus we usually need these numbers to get work done and he is the only one that has them.

Although computers and smartphones are useful, sometimes we need to think like the old days and make sure every information we need is safe and this is the safest way to have our information safe. Just keep it on paper.

Soemtimes the old fashioned way written on paper is the best method, you can’t go wrong with a real piece of paper and information. The only risk there is, is losing it and nothing more than that as long as you treat the paper well.

Are you the kind of person to rely completely on electronics or do you rely on paper? Can you think of the future and prevent yourself from losing very important information that you could need at work when there is a blackout or a computer damaged?

These are things we need to think about. We can’t think in the future because one days these things will just set us back.

    • Yes, that is a good reminder for everyone. We depended so much on electronic devices. I may have lots of backups to different storage such as computer, laptop, mobile phone, tablet, external hard disk, flash drive, email, cloud storage and other electronic devices, but I often forgot to make a backup to a paper or notebook, which is the most reliable if the power and battery runs out. It's always smart to have a backup data on paper. Thank you for this useful post.

      • Yes, we rely too much on storing everything electronically and forget the fact that something could happen and we might need some hard paper storage. Paper is harder to lose then information that is on a computer or phone.
