Online business against ethics

I remember reading an official report by Google, the biggest search engine removed more than 0.50 billion advertisements from the internet till date starting from 2011. Google also banned 2,015,000 advertisers for bad or unethical advertising during the same period to protect viewers’ rights.

Bad ads are the ones which do not keep consumers interests in mind and sell products without caring about Google’s policies. I read this report almost 2 years before and maybe the number has increased substantially by now.

Google recently posted a blog written by its advertising director that said they have every intention to keep their network free from malicious software, scams, offensive and unethical activities. Fair enough, who the heck wants offenders and culprits cheating innocent internet users? Google says it will block unethical practices.

The advertising director of Google clearly stated in his blog that they blocked more than 7,000 advertisers from 250,000 websites using Google’s network in 2014 alone for hiding malware. Google blocked 33,000 businessmen for bad activities on shopping sites and blocked more than 5,000 advertisements for fake business activities.

Let me tell you, despite whatever the steps taken by Google the malpractices by businessmen, fake advertising, and unethical activities are going on without any reduction in intensity but full strength. Malware is another big problem faced by Google which is affecting users.

When I read posts by my friends about disappeared adverts etc or complain coming from different quarters like one of my friends on this site has been complaining since yesterday. Disappeared adverts are no sign that a site is out of business but in some cases the sites love to experiment with different ideas.

I am not saying we haven’t faced glitches here but the willingness and enthusiasm the admin/support at Literacy Base showed was unparalleled. He is eager to solve all problems we the members face immediately and takes the bull by the horn.

I can personally vouch for his tireless efforts and wish this site all the best, my best unconditional support to admin in all his future actions for betterment of the site.

    • The admin and support at this site are quite open to suggestions and this is a healthy sign. This has increased my trust in the site.

    • I am very careful and hard to convince but as you can see I am in this site and not in others. If I were thinking that some other site is better I will be there.

    • I think Google is facing an ethical issue over the advertising business.
Some of the highest paid keywords are online casino related. The advertisers are willing to pay $100 for a single click for such keywords.
However, Google does not endorse gambling! Adsense users are not allowed to promote gambling related products!
