NEW YEAR: A SEASON OF HOPE

New Year is not about making a wish or bucket list to be accomplished within the year. But there is more to celebrate than adhering this popular Chinese tradition of driving the bad spirits away through loud bangs and whistles. The new year reminds us of another opportunity to hope.

New Year tells us to keep our heads up high and continue dreaming. For sure we have some successes the previous year but we also have some disappointments and frustrations, which we overcome to become a better person. The New Year reminds us that there’s  a reason to move forward. There are so many setbacks and backlash we encountered in our lives that all made us think not to continue our journey but besides all these happenings, we’ve learned to be contented with what we have. Somehow, we have thought that we have given everything we had but our pace has not moved an inch.

For instance, we are still looking forward to our jobs, as we are still employees following orders from the employers. Our simple dreams look like an eternal work. Sometimes no matter how hard we try, we’re just not lucky to be picked in the lottery of fate.

However, New Year is another opportunity to build and continue our dreams.

For some people out there, who are almost frustrated and depressed, may this Year 2017 be full of hope and blessings. Nothing is impossible only if we work hard to achieve it.

As we age, the more we become frustrated in trying to achieve what we want for our family, for our friends, and for our life. Sometimes, we even become passive. Some are not happy with what they achieved in life but the New Year tells us anew that there is hope out there.

The New Year is filled with lots of opportunities and they are up for grabs to those who do not lose hope and have the perseverance to meet their dreams through dedications and lots of sacrifices.

After all, New Year is a season of HOPE.
