Never Judge A Person By the His Looks

The problem with humans is to judge others

from the look of the cover.

You have heard the common phrase” Never

judge the cover of the book”

You know what it means; Never judge or put

a conclusion of a person based on his looks

(outlook). You can be wrong over being

judgemental which is unfair.

People make fun or giggle behind the back of

a person by judging on his possession and

outlook.

It is a common practice for all humans,

regardless of race, religion or skin color

which is extremely unfair and hateful.

Why do people judge others from the

cover of the book?

It is a natural instinct of a human nature to

keep judging oneself with others.

Comparison, looking down on others when

one knows that it is wrong, yet it had

became a bad habit that one couldn’t quit.

People judge because:

Jealousy

Look down

Demeaning

Disgust

Hateful

Cannot accept defeat

Lack of security

Wanted to create a new identity

Trying to get bystanders to gather more

support

Giving false news to pull down the other

party

Ridicule the victim to look bad

In order to embarrass the victim on purpose

Hurtful remarks to enrage the victims

The real story

Once I knew a middle age man, who

happened to be my customer.

From the outlook, one would mistaken that

he is poor because he wear torn clothes or

sometimes faded color clothes which aren’t

suitable for outdoor shopping.

Very often, shopping malls sales people

refused to serve him because they judge him

from this dresscode, simply looked down on

him, presuming that he is a poor chap with

lack of money.

Honestly, he usually wears a worn out T-

Shirt with an old bermuda short and an old

pair of slippers, messy hair and he drives a

10 year old car to anywhere.

However, the truth is, he had land

properties, huge cash under in his closet and

credit cards which are premium gold in his

wallet.

He never runs out of cash, he never bargain

over goods purchase and he is always in a

jovial mood.

Once, he went to look for a new set of

furniture for his old home.

He went to the same furniture shop for

numerous of time because he has keen to

buy the whole set of dining table, sofa set .

kitchen cabinets embedded to the wall and

the bedroom sets.

However, non of the sales person in the

furniture shop was willing to spend time with

him, explaining the material, the cost and

the stock available.

Everytime when he left the shop, some

people were gossiping behind his back, some

were giggling while other shoppers gave a

demeaning look at him.

He didn’t care what others judge about him.

Finally, a young lady who was a new comer,

came forward to entertain him for his

queries.

A week later, he brought cash money instead

of cheque or credit card to pay the full price

of the furnitures he wanted.

Much to the surprised of everyone in the

shop, nobody had expected that this shabbily

clothed man was rich and did not even make

a bargain of the goods.

Conclusion

This proves that one should never look down

on others or being biased on another

person’s outlook, whether his dresscode, the

car he drives, the way he speak or the job

that he holds.

Nobody is willing to reveal his possession,

his money and his wealth to the public

unless he wanted to show off to others.

A low profile person does not

necessary indicate that he is low class or

poor.

A smart person does not put a tag on his

forehead with a title “ I am rich”.

Only the childish , foolish ones do care how

the others judge him.

The one who cannot lose his pride and prize

is the one who loses more.

Hence, I had learn that judging others is

unfair, gave a deep scar that hurts without

physical contact but verbally.

Do not speak if you do not know the whole

truth.

Do not give opinions without knowing the

truth behind the cause

Do not make fun of others like gossiping and

smirking behind a person’s back.

Stop judging, you will have friends instead of

foes

    • Some people cannot hold themselves in judging others. All I know from the start that people do this because of insecurity. They tend to do bad things towards a certain person and feel happy about it. The mere fact, it is not healthy to make other's life in misery.

For these people, they lost their good conscience. The real truth, they will experience bad karma in time. In some instances, these people are considered "bullies." They are the menace in the society.

The insecurity is the main outcome of being jealous and having failures in life. For some reason, the good quality of a person will always start at home. It is not always the case. There are some children when they grow up as bad person. They tend to be bad and can never be changed.

    • This is really a touchy article I had seen so far. This is right that people always go by outward appearance neglecting the saying 'DO NOT JUDGE BOOK BY ITS COVER'.

One should know that a person does not care for money after reaching certain heights in life. He actually value the relationships and the affection only. He realizes the importance of human relationships in a society and never cares the material aspects. He lives like a highly matured person

    • I know a similar story. One should not judge a person by their dress...for one of the richest men in Jamaica dresses like the example in the article here. He does it so people don't beg him any money.
