Shanghai Noon is a year 2000 Hollywood movie directed by Tom Dey and produced by Roger Birnbaum, and stars
Jackie Chan, Owen Wilson and Lucy Liu in the lead roles. This movie did well at the box office and is first in a three part series. The movie is an out and out action-comedy movie, with Jackie Chan showing his distinct Kung-Fu action style with comic instincts, and Owen Wilson provides a great counterpart with his wit and comedy as well as being a good partner with Jackie Chan in fighting the baddies.
Overall an enjoyable movie, and one will love the scenes in the movie.
Movie Plot in brief

Wang(Jackie Chan) is a Chinese Imperial Guard in the Forbidden City, and is on a mission to get Princess Pei-Pei (Lucy Liu), who has been abducted and taken to United States, freed. He reaches Nevada where he is on a train which is hijacked by Roy O’Bannon (Wilson) and his gang.
Wang initially helps Roy but he is misguided by Roy to the wrong direction. However, Wang is able to find Roy.
First Wang and Roy have some confrontation but then they both discover who has got the princess kidnapped.
The story goes through a series of twists, turns, lots of action and comedy and Pei Pei unites with Wang, and also getting to remain in United States to help certain Chinese slaves.
Roy and Wang get rid of the baddies and are set for newer encounters.
My personal view

The movie is quite an entertaining ride, and plot is also not a bad one. I like the combination of Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan very much and in some ways look like the pair of Amitabh Bacchan and Rishi Kapoor as seen in a few Hindi movies like ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and ‘Coolie’.
My view is this is a good watch movie!
