kaylar wrote a new post, Signs Your Man is Unfaithful 8 years, 3 months ago

When a man brings other people into the relationship, there are changes in his behavior.

If you can catch them earlier enough to prepare yourself, and make decisions and plans you are far ahead of the woman who […]

    • Oh I don’t to worry about my hubby.
I am not pretty, I have wrinkles, I have bulging fat tummy
My hubby is always around me.
He would find ways to make me pretty in front of him
The main point is, obey whatever he says, don;’t answer back during argument, you got your hubby stay faithful to you always.

      • The problem is that there are people who are unable to ‘bond’. They change their friends like a blouse. They just can not bond. Many times a woman will marry a man who simply can’t bond. She could be beautiful, rich, charming, perfect; it doesn’t matter. He does not have the capacity to bond so can not comprehend being faithful.

    • You have certainly got the nail on the head. These are very useful tips for two people living in the same house. It can actually work if you do things with caution. They actually say that silence is the best weapon for someone who cheats and lies all along. Being quiet will keep him thinking and guessing about what your thinking. Like the place where you have said that you should not confront him until you have enough money to move on, to say the truth it may sound cruel and harsh at the same time but again it’s good to also look on the bright side and act while the iron is still got. Men can lie but they cannot hide or fool women, women have this inner voice in them that can tell them something is not right somewhere, we have a very strong conscience that saves us a lot of times, so men ought to be cateful when when they do certain things.

      • The fact is, one has to imagine that this could happen and prepare themselves. If it happens they know what to do.

    • But at times, what if any employee has to take a leave, or is sick? So, we should have N+ a few more employees- where N is the minimum number of employees needed.

    • No, the Manager or supervisor fills in, or someone is hired part time in case there is so much work. To have an extra means an extra mouth in an argument.

Most businesses fail because they have too many employees. It is not just the excess salary it is the idle hands are a devil’s workshop.

Employees with nothing to do tend to get into confrontation with other […]

    • When companies do well there is wastage all over and not just with an over load of employees. I have worked for a multi national and I know how wasteful things were around until a new MD came along and the first thing he did was to reduce the size of our cabins – in fact we were provided with open cubicles (lol)

      • Usually the problem isn’t the office size (the cabin) it is that people are paid and do virtually nothing. And when there’s a problem… to get rid of the right people… not just these ten or those who were recently hired, but to make the right choices, these little tips work.

kaylar wrote a new post, The Moors in History 8 years, 3 months ago

In an article I wrote,  Everywhere is Not here  I mentioned the fact that what you know as ‘true’  or ‘factual’, may not apply to other parts of the world.

The word ‘Moor’, for example,  is known by most people […]

    • Well I did know something about the Moors and did know they were powerful at one time in history. But this is the first time that I’ve ever read such a neat and concise history. You hit upon the highlights very well and you’re right about the Americans. We don’t (or rarely) mention anything about Tripoli except for in that line in the song sung by the Marines. 🙂

      • Once the U.S. took Independence from the U.K. and were no longer flying the Union Jack, they were fair game. The Corsairs attacked, captured the sailors, and the Tripolitan War was to rescue the Captives. That was the first battle the US Marines ever did. The Mexican War, (Montezuma) came after.

    • The term Moors refers to the Muslim inhabitants of the Maghreb, North Africa, the Iberian Peninsula, Sicily, and Malta during the Middle Ages, who initially were Berber and Arab peoples from North Africa.

The Spanish occupation by the Moors began in 711 AD when an African army, under their leader Tariq ibn-Ziyad, crossed the Strait of Gibraltar from northern Africa and invaded the Iberian peninsula ‘Andalus’ (Spain under the Visigoths).

The Moors, who ruled Spain for 800 years, introduced new scientific techniques to Europe, such as an astrolabe, a device for measuring the position of the stars and planets. Scientific progress in Astronomy, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geography and Philosophy flourished in Moorish Spain

The Great Mosque of Córdoba (La Mezquita) is still one of the architectural wonders of the world in spite of later Spanish disfigurements. Its low scarlet and gold roof, supported by 1,000 columns of marble, jasper and and porphyry, was lit by thousands of brass and silver lamps which burned perfumed oil.

Education was universal in Moorish Spain, available to all, while in Christian Europe ninety-nine percent of the population were illiterate, and even kings could neither read nor write. At that time, Europe had only two universities, the Moors had seventeen great universities! These were located in Almeria, Cordova, Granada, Juen, Malaga, Seville, and Toledo.

The Moorish rulers lived in sumptuous palaces, while the monarchs of Germany, France, and England dwelt in big barns, with no windows and no chimneys, and with only a hole in the roof for the exit of smoke. One such Moorish palace ‘Alhambra’ (literally “the red one”) in Granada is one of Spain’s architectural masterpieces. Alhambra was the seat of Muslim rulers from the 13th century to the end of the 15th century.

The Moors ruled and occupied Lisbon (named “Lashbuna” by the Moors) and the rest of the country until well into the twelfth century. They were finally defeated and driven out by the forces of King Alfonso Henriques. The scene of this battle was the Castelo de Sao Jorge or the ‘Castle of St. George.’

kaylar wrote a new post, Avoiding Slave Chocolate 8 years, 3 months ago

Most cocoa beans are grown in West Africa; Seventy per cent.  Two countries, Ghana and the Ivory produce Sixty Per Cent of the total.

Despite the fact they earn a about $73 billion dollars from the trade, t […]

    • The point is, most people don’t know where that the cocoa beans came from, how they were harvested…and if slaves produced the chocolate in their Hershey Bar

    • it is a pity and sad to know that child slavery still exist in this modern world, so does this mean that we have to boycott chocolates?

    • It is tragic. The tragedy being I had to read this in a blog post here. I listen to business news reports and don’t recall this matter being reported LOUDLY!!! So what you’re saying is if we could all resist the temptation to enjoy chocolate for a greater cause, we might put a stop to child slavery, because we would put the companies out of business. However? What do organizations like the United Nations do? Not pointing a finger but there are many of these types of organizations set up with a mission to protect the rights of children all around the world. Shouldn’t an issue like this fall under the scope of their commitments to the greater good? Though you mention the companies promised to do something but broke their promises or postponed them, couldn’t outside organizations put pressure on them and shame them into doing the right thing?

      • Of course there were protests, maybe CNN didn’t publish them, but there was one massive one in Switzerland. You can do a search and see that Green & Black was doing really well, and Cadbury bought the company to clean it’s own slate then sold itself to another company.

It goes back to a discussion about what is in the news and what is not, and how propaganda works. These chocolate companies have a hell of a lobby group and sponsor a lot of things, so this news is shovelled under the carpet.

This article was written for a PG audience. There are horrendous stories of kidnapping, beatings, even murders in Cote d’Ivoire.

The AntiSlavery Society which was created in the 1800s is still active. There is still slavery in the world.

    • I don’t doubt you. There were many items that went viral. There was a large audience. When the site went down it’s hits and pay had dramatically dropped.

In Nov 2010 when there were 500k hits… that was down by half.

    • I signed up for Triond. I just never found my comfort level so I left.

      • That was odd, because it was so easy. You didn’t have to find an image, they’d give you one, and you had so many topics you could write about.

        • They kept rejecting my writing. I didn’t know why but it wasn’t worth being aggravated. 🙁

          • That is strange because Triond usually was press and publish… very little waiting time.

            • Strange indeed. Most people reported an experience similar to yours, not mine. That’s why I moved on. If you’re at a site and it’s working for everybody else except you, then leave. It’s not your site. You have no control. The owners don’t have to allow you to be there anyway. I wasn’t interested in an explanation. Either the site is easy for me to use or I’m outta there! Simple as that. 🙂

    • ah, you are not the only one!
When I first joined triond many years ago, I think it was in the 2012, I had earned 30 cents for the whole year, I got so frustrated that my posts didn’t get any traffic and were copied pasted by other cheaters, I closed my account and removed my posts to bubblews where I got paid, at least

      • Again… that’s a bit strange. But with Triond, you had this whole aspect of sharing, with a pile of sites and what you learned to do was post, then start sharing like crazy..

I would say, that from 2007 – 2010 you could make $50 a month. It started dropping with Google’s Panda.

    • I went because people thought we were friends, not that I was merely her homework slave. I went, she never spoke to me again, but people made up stories why we didn’t speak…and I didn’t lose my status.

    • I had to go… remember, everyone thought Jalle and I were friends. I knew that if she caught me she’d say something and then could never ask me to do her homework again. So there were two upsides… the first… being at the Party, the second.. not having to do her homework.
