Useful information on what food one can consume in the summer months which is very helps the body especially in the during the opperessive summer heat. I have tasted ragi dosa and ragi soup. But have to taste the above two items. I have heard about ragi balls which are consumed on a regular basis. Ragi is very good for our health all through the year and so are lentils. I have also had the fortune to ear jawar roti and corn roti too. They make the stomach feel light compared the the wheat roti.
They are famous in the semi arid region of the Telangana too. In the recent times I have only had ragi soup. I am having different variety of food which is especially light on the stomach and fruits too. Another two months are there then I can await for the rainy season. Till that time I will spend time tasting food which he light on the stomach as I do not feel hunger due to the extreme weather. It will cross forty degrees now. Thanks for the share.

I only knew about roti paratha, is it from India too? But the common one I like is biryani rice with sea foods. The rice water is comparable to rice wine in the Northern Philippines, but I have not tasted it. It does not appeal so much to me because of the appearance.

With the passage of time, we have got away from many traditional foods, which were based on the weather, and kept our bodies stronger and nourished.
Now, we fail to get enough nutrients. Use of Processed flour(Maida) worsens our situation.
Such traditional foods are making their way back into our day to day eating habits, but a lot still needs to happen.
Thanks for sharing this post. -

Thanks for the share and the information and making our summer more healthy and interesting, though some may not stick to this diet but I guess writers should since they know

I have never tried Biryani but I know I would like it because of the ingredients; especially cinnamon.

I tried Arabic biriani and its super tasty really you feel there lots of tastes are and there are rich of every taste at the same time, I like it with ham not chicken and I like it with red rice. I guess each country make it in different way and some name it different way, in general i love to eat salty things alone, do not like to mix the sweet taste with the salty taste, like checken with pinapple or here adding cinamon to the biriani, i like your recipe, going to try it with out sweety taste with it, these are good healthy items for sure and I will love to add it to Biriani, but do you have different way for biriani too, is so please post it in here as i like to learn new recipes everyday from the worl wide here and there, Thanks for the well written post and full of detiales still simple and easy to follow at cooking at home at any second

It sounds tasty, but I have never tried Biryani as you described here. What country’s cuisine it is? It is great that we can try different cuisines. It’s enough to search online or watch Youtube and we can prepare very interesting new dishes. Thanks for sharing.
