Summer time and the only solace we find is in ice creams, and once we decide to have ice creams – the right flavour for the right mood sets us free from all stress and strain of a workaholic lifestyle. This i […]

    • Interesting information about the history of ice cream. It certainly is ice cream time in India. As it is already hot and one would certainly want to taste different variety of ice creams. I feel family packs seem the best as they have sufficient quantity and can be had by the whole family too. The price also turns out to be better when compared to the other smaller varieties available in the market.

True consuming ice cream is not good if consumed more as is the case of other food items too. But summer is the time when one can taste different varieties and have some fun. Each brand also tastes different based on the quantity of ingredients which they use. Looking forwarding to tasting some as the season progresses. Thanks for the share.

    • super intersting, i like to eat ice cream from time to time, winter or summer or automn or any season, i like ice cream but the un artificial one is better, i tried Ice cream when i visited turkey is one of the best ever ice cream you would eat, its due to the fact

    • Honey is a superfood. It can last for so long without getting spoiled. Honey made by bees who feed on nectars of flowers are the best than those who feed the bees with sugar.

Nomus wrote a new post, Happily Retired ever after – Enjoy its to the fullest 7 years, 8 months ago

Not everybody can plan their retirement in a way, that the enjoy their after work life with same enthusiasm and fun. There are some things that we can learn from others who have made the transition into the kind […]

    • Retirement should be enjoyable, where both couples who had worked for so many years can finally relax and enjoy. They should had careful planning, especially on the financial aspect so they can go on with their dream activities like traveling, going to nice places like a health spa; etc.

    • A crisply written article covering this particular topic of retirement. Here generally I find people who are serving in government jobs happily retired as they get pension and other benefits which accrue to them at the end of their service. But the same is not true in the private sector. A large number of people in the country do not have social security or pensions and live a hand to mouth existence. For many there is not such thing as a retirement. As many in the private sector continue working till their death. One more problem these people in private sector face is that they are unable to see more than a month as the kind of jobs are salaries are such.

It is only a few who are fortunate to plan their retirement in advance in private sectors and they are professionals drawing handsome salaries. For other the graveyard is the only place to permanently retire. That is the sad fact here. A good article touching on a very important topic well appreciated.

Nomus wrote a new post, Blood donation is like saving a life 7 years, 9 months ago

Probably one the noble social cause is BLOOD DONATION, something which is within our reach and a simple way we can make a huge difference to the society at large. We need to build a vibrant, active and social […]

    • I agree, donating blood is a noble deed because it can save the life of another who needs it most. Good thing there are non-government organizations who conduct blood donation drive to help local blood banks have reserved blood for those who need it.

    • Blood donation forms a important social responsibility of each and every individual in the society. There are many organizations and bloodbanks who conduct these drives on a regular basis. The advantages of donating blood are you feel good about doing your bit to save a life as life is precious and many deaths occur due to not getting the right group of blood for the patient who needs it. This very true especially in the case of patients whose blood group is rare and difficult to find.

Some care is also to be taken when donating blood. One should not be taking medicines if one is wanting to donate blood. It should be voluntary and should not be sold. It should be always donated at registered blood banks which are certified by government agencies and they need to be checked properly before going there. Care should be taken and proper safe instruments should be used for taking blood from the donors as other wise they too may get infected. The blood of the donors should also be checked well for any health issues before accepting the same.

Nomus wrote a new post, Violent Kids :: The other side of Video games 7 years, 9 months ago

Video games – something which the kids of modern times get glued on to. They spend long hours in front of computer, laptop, tablet or even smartphone to complete various levels of their favourite games. The p […]

    • The kids should be supervised as to what they are playing. Violent games have the tendency to corrupt the child’s mind and be one also if he keeps on playing it.

That is because, he also wants to put it into action the violent things that the protagonists would do in the video games he plays.

Actually, the weird killings that students have done in the US can really be an ill effect of their playing these violent games on videos.

The parents should always be very vigilant into any change of behavior from being timid to overly aggressiveness of their children. When they notice that, they should talk with the child or better still have him checked up by a psychologist.

As it is said, prevention is better than cure. While early, it should be cured or treated or curbed.

Nomus wrote a new post, Homeopathy – the growing popularity of alternative treatment 7 years, 9 months ago

Often labelled as the genre of medicine which is slow and inefficient, HOMEOPATHY is slowly and steadily gaining importance among global citizens. Today, more than ever before, there is a dire need for homeopathy […]

    • I believe that homeapathy has always been there for us. But with advances in what is considered “modern medical science”, people moved away from what some old folks used to call “bush medicine” or “herbal medicine” or what we call nowadays “natural remedies”.

Here is a contrast and compare. Because of the U.S. trade restrictions placed on Cuba, access to prescription drugs was extremely limited and many of their medical treatments use homeopathy. (That’s what I heard.) Yet Cuba has a fantastic healthcare system. (That’s what I heard also and it must be true because people go there to get medical help and some people go there to study and get a medical degree.) So homeopathy clearly must have a value add?

    • Homeopathy is really becoming popular, with so many people opting to use the natural methods for certain ailments. I am one of them because I fear taking so much synthetic drugs.
