    • And we need to be beware of habitual liars and those who are too much of an expert on telling lies, as they can mislead us or even cause trouble.
Also, we need to make sure we do not fall into same habits.

      • Psychopaths are excellent liars. It is very difficult, unless you are very familiar with the person and know they are a psychopath to catch them. They can pass a lie detector test, because the truth is what they say it is and absolutely believe what they are saying.

    • I also think that sometimes lying is another form of cowardice. The liar does not have the strength to face the person and tell him/her what he is actually feeling and why he/she feels that way. This is especially for those you mentioned who lie and post suggestive pictures on facebook. It’s just another easy way to cope out rather than face reality. And the bad part of lying: you tend to forget what you said before and contradict yourself….

      • Scopalamine, also known as truth serum, actually removes fear. It was developed to send soldiers into battle who would be totally without fear. It is a truth serum because once you have no fear you can tell the truth.

    • Posting on Fb is only satisfying ones own psychological thirst. These people actually lie because many people do no believe them. They lie because they want to tell others they are good at this art. They consider this as an art rather than a weakness of their own. Posting pictures of everything is only give them a self satisfaction.

      • They are not good liars. If they were, they wouldn’t publish some much junk on facebook. If they were really busy they could maybe post once a week… and then something only for their friends, not stupid pictures no one needs to see or network some story.

    • I have my co-worker who is regular worker in our gym and he treated us bad, all who work on part-time contract or no full work hours. Because of his bullying and constant lies to our boss my day job become hell in which I was frying every day. It was so bad we called him Hellboy. He lied to boss for months until I record him and his behavior. Now we have peace but it is very tense because Hellboy during even short hours make tension break air. He was very smooth lair but even the smoothest come to end.

      • It was good you could record him… but he should be fired. The other workers have to figure out how to get rid of him.

    • The only “cure” for this “malady” is to tell the truth. Labeling a person as “pathological” is giving them an medical excuse for their continued bad behavior. “… all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Either that statement is true or it was just written to scare people and there’s no need to take it seriously. All liars are only going to get one chance to test and find out if it’s just a “theory”. I wonder if doctors even mention this statement in their treatment or remedy. Yep. Yep. I’m taking the hard line on this one.

      • I am talking about a psychopath… not all are serial murderers. Many are in business. They have this ability to lie… narcissists as well. You can strap them to a lie detector and it would not pick up the lie. It’s a fact.

    • yes you say right that most of the people tell a lie at home and out of homes. We must think what is a lie? Tell the truth now: that includes you and me. In fact, some people, sad to say, lie almost all the time. Psychologists call these people compulsive or psychopathic liars. They tell lies even when they don’t have to.

There are two kinds of people who lie to hide his fault and other tell a lie to trap in their cunning net so that they get any type of benefit such person are by birth liars

Some people are very expert in telling a lie that the expert cannot catch his lie at at cast.

But telling a lie is a bad things because it mars human character and prestige in the society. Slowly and slowly such people lose confidence among the people and at the end they get shame and nothing else.

That is why we must not tell a lie in life but truth that brings respect on earth and God likes it for all on earth. Tell truth, just truth and nothing else but truth saves human life on earth.

      • We know the difference between truth and lie. We might be in error… for example, you see someone a distance away and think it is your cousin, but then realise, no, it is not. Others would see that person, say it is their cousin, and when they realise it is not… unrealise it. It is a psychological situation like schizophrenia or Compulsive behaviour.

    • You have to know they are psychopaths. When I was very young, there was this girl who lied so well… she was just a kid, but she had a way of speaking and holding herself that everyone believed her. If she told the teacher that William knocked over the chair, the teacher would believe her… and that was it… even if William wasn’t even in the room.

When you comment, instead of, ‘nice’ or some other fling away remark, you write something.  You make it seem that you’ve read the item, that you’ve understood it, or not, and that you have something to say.  In this way you can engage people in discussion.

    • Natural calamities in any form are dangerous. They could wreak a great havoc to lives, properties and crops. In our country, typhoon is the common natural catastrophe that often hits the island. Homes are badly damaged. Lives are claimed. Flash floods add danger to those people who are living near the river. Government especially the Disaster Risk Reduction Management is in great mobilization to send rescue operations.

Storm usually takes two or three days raging its wrath all over the country. Public typhoon signal is hoisted to make everyone aware and so that they may know what precautionary measures to do. When storm signal number 3 is announced all works in government offices and private agencies are suspended. Of course, classes in all level are also suspended. After the storm our country suffered lots of damages.

      • The point is; the hurricane was going to pass Jamaica. This was seen on the maps posted on Boatus from Weds. evening. The insanity it caused will make the next time a storm is predicted, be ignored.

    • Though very depressing, your post sums up the situation to a tee. Writers are forced to spend longer hours on the keyboard and generally good and bad writers are earning the same amount because a lot more depends on how active you are on social media than how well ranked an article is on search engines.

      • I learned of many writing sites via a search which led me to an article and I joined the site. Now… no one knows this article exists unless they are members of this site.

    • I have written on many sites even on my personal blogs English poetry Forum and Urdu Poetry Forum but a lot scamming I find on my name other people pus their own name with my name because my name if ranked in google I have written thousands of articles.

Scammers do what they can but what can I do in this matter? We must have to take steps or make any solid policy to avoid scammers.

You receive an e-mail that looks like it came from your bank, warning you about identity theft and asking that you log in and verify your account information. The message says that if you don’t take action immediately, your account will be terminated.

What actually happens: Even though the e-mail looks like the real deal, complete with authentic logos and working Web links, it’s a clever fake. The Web site where you’re told to enter your account information is also bogus. In some instances, really smart phishers direct you to the genuine Web site, then pop up a window over the site that captures your personal information.

The risk: Your account information will be sold to criminals, who’ll use it to ruin your credit and drain your account. According to Gartner, phishing scammers took consumers (and their banks, who had to cover the charges) for $1.2 billion in 2003.

The letter says the scammers are seeking an accomplice who will transfer the funds into their account for a cut of the total–usually around 30 percent. You’ll be asked to travel overseas to meet with the scammers and complete the necessary paperwork. But before the transaction can be finalized, you must pay thousands of dollars in “taxes,” “attorney costs,” “bribes,” or other advance fees.

    • I think that a storm with a violent wind, in particular a tropical cyclone in the Caribbean.
      synonyms: cyclone, typhoon, tornado, storm, tropical storm, tempest, windstorm, superstorm, gale, squall, whirlwind;

Yes, it was a very dangerous hurricane and it devastated many building and other many valuable things as Hurricane Matthew slammed into Haiti’s south-western tip with howling 145 mph winds yesterday, tearing off roofs in the poor and largely rural area of Petit-Goâve, uprooting trees and leaving rivers bloated and choked with debris.

It marked the first time in 52 years that a Category Four storm made landfall in Haiti.

The storm — at one point the most powerful hurricane in the region in nearly a decade — dumped heavy rain as it swirled on toward Cuba and The Bahamas. Forecasters said it could hit Florida toward the end of the week and push its way up the East Coast of the United States over the weekend.

The dangerous storm blew ashore around dawn in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, hitting a corner of Haiti where many people live in shacks of wood or concrete blocks.

The storm left the peninsula that runs along the southern coast of Haiti cut off from the rest of the country. Many streets were flooded or blocked by landslides and fallen trees. Local radio reported that the water was shoulder high in parts of the city of Les Cayes.

Milriste Nelson, a 65-year-old farmer in the town. said his neighbours fled when the wind ripped the corrugated metal roof from their home. His own small yard was strewn with the fruit he depends on for his livelihood.

kaylar wrote a new post, Rapid Remorse 8 years, 1 month ago

Yesterday, Congress gleefully overruled President Obama’s veto of the bill which would allow the families of the 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia.
In the usual ‘whatever Obama is for, I’m against, whatever he’s […]

    • Obama was right to veto. Put the shoe on the other foot and let other countries enact such a law and not only that, but allow it be enacted effectively retroactively; in other words, going back to the past. Practically everybody would suing America! Keepin’ it real! The CIA trained Osama and then left him in the heat of the battle with the Russians to fight on his own with his band of soldiers. The family of the victims of 9/11 might start thinking about suing the CIA!!! When you get a law on the books, all it takes is a really smart lawyer to read between the lines and figure out how to work it!

      • Exactly! Even sitting here… miles away… it seemed to me that America had a lot of things to hide and that to allow people to sue… well… what about those at Gitmo who were found innocent? What about those mistaken bombings which killed people who had nothing to do with anything?

        • You can refer to so many historical incidents you might crash your computer with the weight of them. What about black people who were forced into slavery? What about the Native Americans who were forced off their land? Just watched a documentary last night about the relationships between Mexican-Americans and Anglo-Americans. Especially during the California gold rush period. It was not pretty! That’s another potential lawsuit!! With that kind of legal precedent, Americans might start suing Americans! Holler! 🙂

    • Obama should do a lot of thinking. Much internalizing (I’m not sure about his moral ability to that kind of understanding) in considering the ethos of the Bill that had been passed in May. He must agree with the House of Senate that passed this Bill that allow the 9/11 victims, on behalf of those who lost their lives, to regain their trust and respect in the judicial system.

He should rethink that he must consider his ways that would lead to standing firm in support and empathy with the 9/11 victims and families. They are his fellow Americans, for heaven’s sake! And thus, see to it that the Saudi government will sit in court before a Judge, the Senate of Representatives, and the 9/11 victims that represent the entire American people.

The 9/11 victims represent the entire united America must fulfill their rights to hold Saudi government accountable for the terrorist attack on 9/11, thus, pursue in putting Saudi in the Justice Civil Court system. The President should be able to see that clearly.

With Obama-veto conflict that’s denying America of suing Saudi– his persistent veto, stopping Americans from moving to action in Court on suing Saudi. Will the suing enormously affect US financial market? What Saudi is threatening to do is to backfire by blackmailing America. It’s like plugging America’s financial flow into the US economy. That’s Obama’s intention why he’s vetoing. He doesn’t really care about the 9/11 tragedy and the entire American people. His PCness is getting in the way. BS!

Btw, Clintons receive billions of money from the Saudi kingdom. I wonder if the Saudis are paying Hillary to have some kind of influence on Barrack Obama?

    • Every president of any country wants to reform the world but there are many hard ship may not be seen by physical eyes because behind the president countless forces are being worked and those who helped in making president how can a president make laws against them and they are big boss of the whole world.

Voters are just to give their opinions and nothing else what the elected president does does not become democratic but dictatorship works behind it, not seen by human eyes.

What in his eight years term Mr. Obama had done may every body knows or not knows but I write its summary. It is not the fault of Obama but the fault of hidden power that pushes the USA President. I list Obama’s failures…..

    • Yes, we must encourage the new writers so that new writers may write for the coming generation because our forefathers wrote for us and we must write for the coming next coming generation and I think it is our duty in modern age.

Writers: Let’s face it. Sometimes we could all use a little motivation, encouragement, inspiration, or support. Sometimes our prospects don’t seem very exciting. Sometimes we lose sight of what matters.

Writer’s Relief has created this page to motivate, encourage, and inspire you. We know the writing life can be tough, but this page can help. Here’s a free resource that offers:

      **Motivation for writers
      **Encouragement for writers
      **Inspiration for writers

To really help your young author feel a sense of accomplishment, collect some of her best writings and bind them up. You can easily do this with cardboard covers, or by putting contact paper over a specially created cover illustration on heavy paper. Have her make a table of contents, a title page, and a bio about herself to include between the covers.

You will be published if you posses three qualities: talent, passion and discipline. You will probably be published if you possess two of the three qualities in either combination–either talent and discipline or, passion and discipline.

You will likely be published if you possess neither talent nor passion but still have discipline. But, if all you possess is talent or passion, if all you possess is talent and passion, you will not be published.

      • The fact is, many writers no longer want to risk themselves on a site that might not pay. Or on one which has ‘quirks’ as I mentioned above.
