Some People Don’t Lie Well

Eli told me and his (ex) girlfriend, at separate times,  that he was very busy and probably wouldn’t be able to answer our emails.

I didn’t make any judgement at the time, although his (ex) girlfriend was sort of …’uh huh’.

As she’s my best friend, her response was a ‘warning’ . When he began posting four or five pictures A DAY on Facebook, I realised that his ‘busy’ was a coward’s way of making his girlfriend an ‘ex’.

I said to her; “What’s the point of these stupid pictures?  He is proving he is a liar.”

This reminded me of another friend who went abroad with the same kind of ‘too busy’.  Like Eli he’s posted pictures of everything from what he had for dinner to the street outside of his house.

What’s the point of lying?  Especially when you aren’t good at it?

I know some people who lie about everything. Typical Yardie; born an Orthodox Hypocrite, will tell you he hasn’t seen your camouflage head tier while he’s wearing it, or that he didn’t go anywhere when he’s still wearing the sticker that he got when he entered the club.

It isn’t just men who lie.  The Hippo, ( a repulsive circular creature) told me that ‘the girls’  took a key, told Pat that she took it, (I heard her telling Pat.) When I confronted her, she insisted she didn’t have the key and began crying to spice the cake.

There are people who lie so well you will never doubt them.

I recall one woman, a psychopath, who would lie and lie so well that you would nod. After agreeing with her, while walking away, you’d suddenly be hit by the fact; that was a Lie!  You were there! That didn’t happen!

For my psychopath to lie, well, she’s good at it.

But for Eli? I feel like saying something, but I won’t.  Nor will his (ex) girlfriend.

We just know that nothing that comes out of his mouth can be taken as truth.

    • And we need to be beware of habitual liars and those who are too much of an expert on telling lies, as they can mislead us or even cause trouble.
Also, we need to make sure we do not fall into same habits.

      • Psychopaths are excellent liars. It is very difficult, unless you are very familiar with the person and know they are a psychopath to catch them. They can pass a lie detector test, because the truth is what they say it is and absolutely believe what they are saying.

    • I also think that sometimes lying is another form of cowardice. The liar does not have the strength to face the person and tell him/her what he is actually feeling and why he/she feels that way. This is especially for those you mentioned who lie and post suggestive pictures on facebook. It's just another easy way to cope out rather than face reality. And the bad part of lying: you tend to forget what you said before and contradict yourself....

      • Scopalamine, also known as truth serum, actually removes fear. It was developed to send soldiers into battle who would be totally without fear. It is a truth serum because once you have no fear you can tell the truth.

    • Posting on Fb is only satisfying ones own psychological thirst. These people actually lie because many people do no believe them. They lie because they want to tell others they are good at this art. They consider this as an art rather than a weakness of their own. Posting pictures of everything is only give them a self satisfaction.

      • They are not good liars. If they were, they wouldn't publish some much junk on facebook. If they were really busy they could maybe post once a week... and then something only for their friends, not stupid pictures no one needs to see or network some story.

    • I have my co-worker who is regular worker in our gym and he treated us bad, all who work on part-time contract or no full work hours. Because of his bullying and constant lies to our boss my day job become hell in which I was frying every day. It was so bad we called him Hellboy. He lied to boss for months until I record him and his behavior. Now we have peace but it is very tense because Hellboy during even short hours make tension break air. He was very smooth lair but even the smoothest come to end.

      • It was good you could record him... but he should be fired. The other workers have to figure out how to get rid of him.

    • Pathological liars cannot be treated. If I had encountered such a person, I will just move away from them. I don't want to be a victim of having a friend with such behavior. Some people can also be abusive with people's kindness. They kept on deceiving them.

      • You have to know they are psychopaths. When I was very young, there was this girl who lied so well... she was just a kid, but she had a way of speaking and holding herself that everyone believed her. If she told the teacher that William knocked over the chair, the teacher would believe her... and that was it... even if William wasn't even in the room.

    • The only “cure” for this “malady” is to tell the truth. Labeling a person as “pathological” is giving them an medical excuse for their continued bad behavior. “... all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Either that statement is true or it was just written to scare people and there's no need to take it seriously. All liars are only going to get one chance to test and find out if it's just a “theory”. I wonder if doctors even mention this statement in their treatment or remedy. Yep. Yep. I'm taking the hard line on this one.

      • I am talking about a psychopath... not all are serial murderers. Many are in business. They have this ability to lie... narcissists as well. You can strap them to a lie detector and it would not pick up the lie. It's a fact.

    • yes you say right that most of the people tell a lie at home and out of homes. We must think what is a lie? Tell the truth now: that includes you and me. In fact, some people, sad to say, lie almost all the time. Psychologists call these people compulsive or psychopathic liars. They tell lies even when they don't have to.

There are two kinds of people who lie to hide his fault and other tell a lie to trap in their cunning net so that they get any type of benefit such person are by birth liars

Some people are very expert in telling a lie that the expert cannot catch his lie at at cast.

But telling a lie is a bad things because it mars human character and prestige in the society. Slowly and slowly such people lose confidence among the people and at the end they get shame and nothing else.

That is why we must not tell a lie in life but truth that brings respect on earth and God likes it for all on earth. Tell truth, just truth and nothing else but truth saves human life on earth.

      • We know the difference between truth and lie. We might be in error... for example, you see someone a distance away and think it is your cousin, but then realise, no, it is not. Others would see that person, say it is their cousin, and when they realise it is not... unrealise it. It is a psychological situation like schizophrenia or Compulsive behaviour.
