I think the Ell18 is the best one which my daughter purchased recently. Earlier she was using Revlon. She is having almost all colors of Revlon brand. After seeing an Ad of a Bollywood Actress on the T.V she switched to the new brand. She purchased one in dark Tomato color and the other one is perfect dark red. Both are looking very nice and appealing.

I think I am not familiar with that brand, though. Is it from a local company? My favorite makeup brand will always be Bobbi Brown but I don’t always have the money to buy from them, LOL. So I used to resort to Loreal, Maybelline, or Revlon if I need to buy cheap cosmetics. Until recently, I started to be a little bit more adventurous and try other brands like Korean cosmetics and this, Ellen Tracy.

Sounds as if the lipstick was a hit. Sound pretty happy with the product and that’s what companies love. They want to know if customers are happy with their products. Lipstick and lip gloss is the only thing that I’ll wear. No other makeup.

Yes it was a hit for sure 🙂 I tried using it this weekend during day time and was so happy with the result. The only downside with getting used with lip tints is that you somehow wish the lipsticks last as long on your lips, too.

I got these Ellen Tracy “thick sticks” lip crayons from my mom. The whole set was $5.99 from Ross. I was not expecting much but was utterly surprised about the payoff and staying power these are amazing!!! I love a pencil since they are so easy to control but it has the color payoff and staying power of a lipstick and stain!
Here are some of the most important benefits of lipstick:
Beauty – No matter what style of lip color you prefer (sharp, bold and dramatic colors, or more natural and subdued shades that can be translucent), you will instantly feel more beautiful. If your goal is to stand out in the crowd, be more beautiful, or you simply need a boost in your confidence, lipstick is a perfect fashion tool for you.
Hydration – Even though some older brands of lipsticks use ingredients that can suck moisture from you lips, most of them are very conscientious about hydration and are made to preserve the natural state of your lips. New brands of lipstick can often contain some form of moisturizing additive, such as vitamin E or aloe vera.
Sunscreen – Even in early 20th century, chemist and fashion designers came to conclusion that sunscreen protection is important and that most people leave their sensitive lips up to the mercy of the sun even if they are conscious about protecting the rest of the face. Lipstick manufacturers then added sun protection ingredients to their products, enabling you to protect your lips from sun, drying, wind, and other harmful and aging effects.
Posture – Several studies have shown that women who regularly use lipstick have a better posture in the later years of their life. With long and steady tradition of standing in front of the mirror and keeping your posture and body shape in healthy conditions, women in the ages of 65 to 85 have significantly less problems with their posture and balance.

t’s my first OPI Axxium Soak-Off Gel Lacquer, and it’s as if my technician tossed out the rules of a manicure with yesterday’s cotton balls. There’s no soaking my fingers in water‘it’s her opinion we can’t have my nails expand in water, then contract and crack the polish.
And there’s no sitting around afterwards waiting for it to dry: The five coats, including a base and topcoat, are cured in a hand-size UV lamp in just a couple of minutes per layer. The $50 manicure will last at least two weeks.
It offers a layer of protection as if I’d been given artificial nails, yet unlike fake nails, this stuff is just painted on like a polish with no filing,
bonding or sculpting. But the oddest thing about it is that everyone around me is talking about nothing but polish: the coolest colours and just how long their manicure lasted (for one woman, a month and still looking perfect’save a half-moon of natural nail that’s since grown at her cuticles).
Colourful, beautifully shaped nails have become a mainstream beauty obsession. No Canadian numbers are available, but according to U.S. market research, department store nail polish sales jumped 59 percent in the first 10 months of 2011, and the industry south of the border is worth more than $6 billion.
For many, polish is an ‘affordable luxury,’ says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, artistic director of Los Angeles’based OPI Products. Leeanne Colley of Tips Nail Bar & Spa in Toronto, where I had my nails done, surmises that ‘with the rise of smartphones, our hands are more visible. So having a coat of nail polish on is now a must.’

I’ve never really been a fan of the look of magentic nail polishes, but when I saw that Essie made one that looked like snakeskin, I had to try it. To be completely honest, I found the results a bit disappointing, which was surprising because I am such a huge fan of Essie products.
For example, the magnetic effect only worked on a small part of the nail (the middle), and the polish dried so quickly that some of my nails didn’t work at all. I tried doing half of a nail at a time, but that just resulted in a weird design rather than the snake print.
Before my final try at achieving the snake design, I scoured the internet for tips, but there was surprisingly little help online. So, I set out to figure out the best way to apply the polish/magnet to get the desired effect.
I ended up painting my nails three different times with two separate colors. By the third try, I picked up a few tips and tricks, so hopefully you’ll find these helpful if you want to try out the snake effect polish.
Nail art has become very popular nowadays and many women and girls consider already tried or consider having it done. From trendsetters to celebrities many seem sporting fingernail art. It can be an intricate embellished nail or a cool graphic pattern to match the outfit. Having healthy, beautiful and trendy nails can bring more self confidence and can be an ego boost for any woman. There are a great variety of nail art patterns to choose from. If you didn’t try nail art yet then let’s analyze together some advantages and disadvantages of this fashionable trend in nail polish.
Nail art Advantages
Nail art offers a great variety of palette colors and you can choose your favorites to raise your mood, to match your lifestyle, your personality and your outfit. A multicolor nail art can cheer you up at any moment.
If you are bored of neutral colored nail polish, then a bold graphic or a colored patterned nail art adds some fun.
Nail art is easy to be done.
Focusing on yourself and taking time out from the world can have a therapeutic effect. Setting time aside to work on your nail art is soothing and relaxing. You will also get an ego boost feeling from wearing an impressive nail art pattern.
Nail art gives you an inexpensive way to wear some designer labels.
If you need some creative outlet with your day to day looks, then bold makeup looks are not always a good option. Your nails are perfect canvas and the nail art can be a more convenient way of wearing something creative.
Nail art is fashionable and everyone else seems to wear it. If you want to look cool in a fast and easy way than you just have some nail art done to get yourself on the trend.
Nail art Disadvantages
Some nail art polish can take a long drying time.
Your nail polish may contain too many chemicals and those bright colors may have a bad effect on the nails.
It’s not easy to keep the nail polish from getting on your cuticles.
Polishing your nails perfectly with a complicated nail art pattern may get some time. Not every woman has the patience to wait calm and without rushing until her manicure is done. Spending hours with nail art isn’t an option for most of the women because it’s difficult to fit their busy schedule.
The fact that everyone else seems to wear nail art is a double edged sword. On one side, if you choose to wear nail art you’ll keep with the trend, on the other side your nail art might get lost in a pool of pretty similar patterns. Try to be as creative as possible when you choose your nail art.
Nail art is hard to perfect and if you have perfectionist tendency it might disappoint you. The slightest crack or smudge can ruin your manicure.
When you get into nail art, nail care becomes even more important. Because your nails are the canvas for your pieces of art you need to spend more time and pay more attention to your nail care.
