t’s my first OPI Axxium Soak-Off Gel Lacquer, and it’s as if my technician tossed out the rules of a manicure with yesterday’s cotton balls. There’s no soaking my fingers in water‘it’s her opinion we can’t have my nails expand in water, then contract and crack the polish.
And there’s no sitting around afterwards waiting for it to dry: The five coats, including a base and topcoat, are cured in a hand-size UV lamp in just a couple of minutes per layer. The $50 manicure will last at least two weeks.
It offers a layer of protection as if I’d been given artificial nails, yet unlike fake nails, this stuff is just painted on like a polish with no filing,
bonding or sculpting. But the oddest thing about it is that everyone around me is talking about nothing but polish: the coolest colours and just how long their manicure lasted (for one woman, a month and still looking perfect’save a half-moon of natural nail that’s since grown at her cuticles).
Colourful, beautifully shaped nails have become a mainstream beauty obsession. No Canadian numbers are available, but according to U.S. market research, department store nail polish sales jumped 59 percent in the first 10 months of 2011, and the industry south of the border is worth more than $6 billion.
For many, polish is an ‘affordable luxury,’ says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, artistic director of Los Angeles’based OPI Products. Leeanne Colley of Tips Nail Bar & Spa in Toronto, where I had my nails done, surmises that ‘with the rise of smartphones, our hands are more visible. So having a coat of nail polish on is now a must.’

I think the cream is the best as you say and one of my friends told me about this cream that is best for skin care but i do not use, my cousin uses and she says nice for skin care.
I’m trying to cut down on my beauty spending for the year (hahaha I’m funny…) so I decided to kick off the year with the only large skincare haul I should need.
I fell down the rabbit hole of Korean skincare last year, so I placed my order with RoseRoseShop. RRS has a huge selection of skincare to cosmetics to cute phone cases, and the prices are suuuuper cheap. Shipping is a bit steep, but they charge by weight – so don’t order too many heavy items.
RoseRoseShop has amazingly cheap prices for the products, but extremely high shipping fees by weight. They only offer Mizon products for free shipping. However, despite the high shipping costs, the grand total of the products plus shipping always ends up cheaper on RoseRoseShop

For the past few months I’ve been eyeing some Korean skincare products that I wanted to try and last January 2016 I finally decided to make my very first haul abroad. The reason why I wanted to try Korean brands is that well first of all its no secret that most of them has really really really nice skin
(I mean seriously who wouldn’t want to have those flawless, poreless skin that you keep seeing in k-dramas >_< ). And not only that their cosmetic and skincare products are known to be advance yet gentle and effective on the skin hence being the gullible me, I went ahead and placed my order.
So the first order I made was from roseroseshop, its a known online shop that is located in South Korea and offers quite a lot of products to choose from. I know some people might complain about their shipping fee because yes it can be pricey and I did searched on various known online shops but after calculating everything I still ended choosing them despite the pricey shipping fee.
I made my order last January 29,2016 with a total of $32.92 including the shipping fee (around 1600 pesos; Paypal has their own exchange rate which was about 49 pesos for a dollar at that time)

I wish I could be like Sophia Loren and say “Everything I am I owe to spaghetti!” I eat enough spaghetti and love it in almost any kind recipe. I especially like it with spinach.
-
Yeah, I think cooking pasta dishes is really versatile! It might not be a traditional Italian dish, but anything that tastes great with pasta is good enough for me anyway!

My family enjoy a meal of pasta anytime! The photo looks inviting, thus, I feel like cooking pasta with your recipe tonight.
With ricotta cheese, I cover my 200 grams of cheese in olive oil (I only buy portions), instead of water. If with water, add salt to preserve the ricotta.
-
Thanks for the comment. And that’s a tip I have to try! Will it make the ricotta last longer than the Best Before End date stamped on the tub, though?
-
With my ricotta whenever I buy small portions, they last longer when soaked in olive oil. My family doesn’t share the same liking for ricotta cheese, so, ricotta doesnt get consumed extending it past expiry date :-/.

Preheat the oven to 180C/gas 4. Put the spinach and a drizzle of olive oil in a large pan over a low heat. Add the nutmeg, season with salt and pepper, cover and leave to sweat. Help the kids to stir it occasionally until the spinach has cooked down. Place in a bowl and set to one side to cool a little. In the same pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil and gently sweat the onion until soft. Add the garlic, tomatoes, bay leaf, a few basil leaves and lemon zest and let it gently simmer for 20 minutes until the sauce has thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
Have the kids squeeze the moisture out of the spinach into the bowl. Place the spinach on a board so you can chop it up. Return the spinach to the liquid in the bowl and get the kids to stir in the ricotta, beaten egg and parmesan. Season to taste.
Sit the piping bag in a jug, fold its edges over the rim, then spoon in the spinach mixture. Have the kids help pipe the mixture into the cannelloni tubes and lay them in a 20cm x 25cm oven dish.
Spread the tomato sauce over the cannelloni. Scatter over most of the basil, lay the mozzarella slices on top, drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil and season.
Place in the oven and cook for 35–40 minutes or till the top is golden and the pasta tender (if the top browns too fast, cover the dish with foil). Remove from the oven and let stand for a few minutes before serving with the remaining basil.

Great recipe. Thanks for sharing. I always love and enjoy pasta. Whenever I want to cook an easy meal, I choose pasta because it is more easier to cook and is delicious.

I think the Ell18 is the best one which my daughter purchased recently. Earlier she was using Revlon. She is having almost all colors of Revlon brand. After seeing an Ad of a Bollywood Actress on the T.V she switched to the new brand. She purchased one in dark Tomato color and the other one is perfect dark red. Both are looking very nice and appealing.
I think I am not familiar with that brand, though. Is it from a local company? My favorite makeup brand will always be Bobbi Brown but I don’t always have the money to buy from them, LOL. So I used to resort to Loreal, Maybelline, or Revlon if I need to buy cheap cosmetics. Until recently, I started to be a little bit more adventurous and try other brands like Korean cosmetics and this, Ellen Tracy.
Sounds as if the lipstick was a hit. Sound pretty happy with the product and that’s what companies love. They want to know if customers are happy with their products. Lipstick and lip gloss is the only thing that I’ll wear. No other makeup.
Yes it was a hit for sure 🙂 I tried using it this weekend during day time and was so happy with the result. The only downside with getting used with lip tints is that you somehow wish the lipsticks last as long on your lips, too.
I got these Ellen Tracy “thick sticks” lip crayons from my mom. The whole set was $5.99 from Ross. I was not expecting much but was utterly surprised about the payoff and staying power these are amazing!!! I love a pencil since they are so easy to control but it has the color payoff and staying power of a lipstick and stain!
Here are some of the most important benefits of lipstick:
Beauty – No matter what style of lip color you prefer (sharp, bold and dramatic colors, or more natural and subdued shades that can be translucent), you will instantly feel more beautiful. If your goal is to stand out in the crowd, be more beautiful, or you simply need a boost in your confidence, lipstick is a perfect fashion tool for you.
Hydration – Even though some older brands of lipsticks use ingredients that can suck moisture from you lips, most of them are very conscientious about hydration and are made to preserve the natural state of your lips. New brands of lipstick can often contain some form of moisturizing additive, such as vitamin E or aloe vera.
Sunscreen – Even in early 20th century, chemist and fashion designers came to conclusion that sunscreen protection is important and that most people leave their sensitive lips up to the mercy of the sun even if they are conscious about protecting the rest of the face. Lipstick manufacturers then added sun protection ingredients to their products, enabling you to protect your lips from sun, drying, wind, and other harmful and aging effects.
Posture – Several studies have shown that women who regularly use lipstick have a better posture in the later years of their life. With long and steady tradition of standing in front of the mirror and keeping your posture and body shape in healthy conditions, women in the ages of 65 to 85 have significantly less problems with their posture and balance.
seems a hit in the makeup world is it?
but I like lancome and i know its not the only one but i feel comfortable use, I tried other brands and got problems, still i want to try bands but not so pricey like lancome or dior or chanedl
