How to save our planet Earth?

Every individual be it a kid, adult, rich, poor, healthy or having health issues all can play a role in saving the planet earth. 

There is so much we do each day and whatever we do if done with a thought for the earth it will hardly take time for getting back what we lost. 

As it is said drops make an ocean and this drop comes from individuals. 

Conserving energy and other resources tops the list on how an individual can contribute. 

A tap that leaks for example should be immediately put right. A light that is not needed should be switched off. Wasting food plays a big part too. Dishing out and then throwing out is common. This can stop by taking only that quantity that one can consume. 

Surroundings are dirty because of individuals. If everyone took care of their own garbage the need to keep surroundings clean would not arise. 

Decongesting traffic on roads by pooling rather than travelling alone in vehicles will show positive results. 

Following traffic rules can avoid accidents not just by those who own vehicles but even by pedestrians. 

Looking at the various suggestions given here one will see how easy it is to do these simple tasks. Simple tasks but a mega contribution. 

The role of an individual therefore cannot be underestimated. It is the individual that can make or mar whatever be the situation.  All what one needs is the will to perform and a thought for others. It is this lack of thought for others that is the main cause of indifference shown by an individual to contribute positively for make this world a better place.  Everyone will stand to gain.

The powers that be are running in circles to contain the situation that is going out of hand but little do they know that the solution lies with individuals.  A curriculum in schools pointing  out this important fact could perhaps be the starting point.
