Love should be rational or unconditional?

So, how it is with unconditional love? I talk here about love between man and woman. I firmly believe that parents’ love to children is indeed unconditional. This question is deep and complex. And I’m not omniscient, just looking and asking.

I think true love between man and woman is conditional. Women love the one that is strong – he can protect and care about her and her children. This means a man has to be strong or self sufficient. Man loves the one that is enough healthy to be able to give birth, and caring enough to take care of him and his children. Thus she must be beautiful as if such an indirect sign of health, and be able to cook, like her diligence and character. Love is initiated conditionally, and may continue to become unconditional. After all, you cannot fall in love with one which you neither saw nor heard about. You must at least meet him or see. After all, you cannot fall in love with a person who offended you right after you met him. There must be a condition to start loving. You have to like something in other person, even if it’s just a look.

Then as a result you get attached to other human, grows up a fear of losing him. The fear and attachment can be so strong that love becomes unconditional. I think the purest love is unconditional. When you love someone, not because he makes you something good, but just for no reason. And even when your beloved makes something bad, you still cannot stop loving him.

But need to watch out for – unconditional love can burn without a response. After all, if person keeps doing bad, but you still love him, love turns into a stone, which you carry on everywhere with yourself. It’s hard. The most pure love – it’s extreme. I think the perfect love should not be unconditional; it has to help build a better world. Love does not have a tie, it must release: energy, the creative potential, the joy of life. Love should not be based on fear. Trust and respect must be the foundation of love.

And what the love helps to build a better world? Unconditional, without convenience and discrimination, without consideration, a love strong and determined. Love – it is so irrational and illogical.
