Lip sympathisers are those who just talk but do nothing. There is no dearth when it comes to lip sympathisers. They are cheaper by the dozen. Here is a hypothetical situation when a lip sympathiser comes to know someone known to them is hospitalised
1. They will call up the house and express sorrow, get the hospital name, the room number and other details. They would want to know the details of the illness.
2. They visit the patient and hug the patient. Actually that is not a healthy thing to do. There will be germs spread.
3. They will apologise why they could not get flowers
4. Then there will be advice on what to eat and what not to eat – feeling sorry that the patient cannot eat their favourite food.
5. When the patient mentions that their house is in disarray, prompt comes a response that they would have very much liked to help but………….
6.There would be a lot of areas where help would be required by the patient and the possible answers from a lip sympathiser would be
1. I would have definitely babysat for you but………
2. I would have shopped for you but……….
3. I would have lent you money but…………
4. I would have stayed with you in the hospital but……….
There will be many more ‘ buts’
The lip sympathiser will visit again, call again, express sorrow and this will continue relentlessly, much to the frustration and discomfort of the patient and their loved ones.
The lip sympathiser will gloat about the role they played in that they would tell everyone how many times they visited the hospital, how many times they called up the house and what advice they offered them. . There will ofcourse be selfies taken. How else would anyone believe them?
Only if there was a ban on lip sympathisers this world would have been a great place to live. Bu the fact that they exist diplomacy plays a role and no one stops them from being so hypocritical.

I had seen so many people like this and it is in the world of politics. There are so many promises that they cannot fulfill it. They were just aiming for the power and ignore the real issues of the country. I do think that it is only a cycle and it is not intended to change the old practices.
When it comes to politics it is understandable but not when our close contacts do it. Just not acceptable.
