LIFE IS LIKE A CHESS PARALLEL

Our life can be likened to chess. It is a daily tournament. It is also full of mystery. We do not know what is ahead of us.

As we begin to play in the tournament, we should have a sound mind and must be armed with tactics- from the opening lines to the middle positions until the ending crucial moves. Our life in chess goes beyond every expectations and aspiration.

The e4 c5 initial moves of a wood pusher mean the white player is ready to explore, expound, expect, and defeat an opponent, while the black player will commit, convince, curdle, co-equalize, and consummate as skillfully as he can. Indeed, our journeys are not enough to perfect what we wish. It lies on how we deal with every detail that comes along our way. Checkmate, our best friends can be our greatest opponent. Our supporters can be our greatest haters and bashers. On board, face them as enemies and don’t give them any chance.

When we promote a pawn to become a queen piece, it does not guarantee that we will win the battle. We still need the power of other pieces. If we truly checkmate, we then infer we earned our reward for thinking hard. We proudly say it is sweet, laborious painful winning move.

One’s ultimate goal in this mind game is to become a grandmaster. Train hard with the best trainer in town, read books, answer puzzles, analyze all possible moves, watch live games, play the actual games with experienced players, go where the tournaments are.

Ironically, chess will never put you in the limelight like talent shows. It’s a boring game for some. We will still love the game, support it all the time and embrace it. They say that chess players can easily solve problems until they grow up aside from the fact that it will be a part of the curriculum.

Above all, let us not forget our Grandmaster who is all-knowing, who designs, plans, and makes the right move for all of us.

    • Well said when you stated life as Tournament. Every day is like a big match for a game . But the difference is every game has certain rules and guidelines but the life has none.
Every day comes like a new different move which needs to be taken so as to survive and win over the multiple opponents of daily life.
And as they say The best move wins...
And we also dont get any trophy for winning it.

    • YEAH, I AGREE WITH YOU. THE BEST MOVE WINS, SO THAT WILL BE DEPENDING ON HOW OUR CHOICES IS AND THE PLANS WE HAVE FOR THE FOLLOWING MOVES. THE TROPHY WE CAN GET FROM IT ARE THE LEARNINGS OR LESSONS THAT WE CAN GET. THE NEXT TIME AROUND, WE CAN USE THOSE LESSONS TO MAKE A MOVE WHICH IS MAKES US WIN THE TOURNAMENT AGAIN.
