Lack of knowledge or the half truth

As I have repeatedly said that I was never too active on social media in personal capacity but my role was limited to sharing my online work. In most cases I never visited the sites personally but shared my links from the website where my articles or images were published on.

Here I would like to mention about my use of Facebook in particular as this particular social media is not only the most popular among all other social networking sites but probably people spend lot of their time. Some of them may well be placed in the category of addicted sharing their all activities right from what they ate, cook or places visited.

Lately I have been watching their Google activity log like where they checked in, who was accompanying them and when they checked out for another destination and how they were traveling. I mean every single detail and the most interesting part of the story is that we face the danger of going out of their friends list if we do not like all their “status” posts.

What I feel is that we are in living in an age of ‘half truths’ courtesy social media. We have kind of ‘fabricated’ the facts of our life according to our own selfish levels and I am pretty much sure which are far from the reality. In other words, we are presenting facts according to our own point of view that look phony at the first glance itself.

In some cases especially the political views does not present a clear picture but looks like a borrowed idea from so called intellectuals which is even more harmful for society. These ideas do to reflect the views of the poster in their true sense or in most cases found wanting as they fail to provide details behind the story.

I feel the time has come when everyone is trying to mould others views according to his own convenience knowingly or even unknowingly.
