A keyword and an article are like twin brothers. One cannot go anywhere without the other. Keywords do boost your SEO and ensures that your article reaches the outside world through this Search Engine Optimization.
As the word suggests it is like a key to your article. The way a key unlocks a lock and so a password unlocks your article. It is a word or a group of words that when they are typed in Search Engines, your article appears. It identifies or optimizes your article with others of the same caliber
What an interesting question? The keyword should at first appear in the title of your article and article URL. It should also be featured in the summary or meta description of your article. Why not it also be found in the body of your article especially at the beginning paragraph and the ending paragraph too.
Yes, how many times! Here, I mean the body of the article! One can use the keyword about four times. Remember overusing the keyword will saturate your article and it is not advisable. Likewise using few keywords will also underrate your article. Subheadings should have the keyword too.
We need to know how many keywords should be put in a standard post. Should you use one, ten or a thousand? As we indicated earlier, it is a word or words that are identified with your article. Supposing one article of three hundred or one thousand two hundred has one hundred keywords? It will be that your post will be made up of keywords only. Another problem will be that every word will be identified to your post. I suggest then that we put one keyword for one standard post.

There is a caveat; if you write nothing full of key words, Google will slap down your item, and the site. In 2011 Hubpages had 'writers' who used a 'template' like this...
"Everyone is interested in K. All over the world people are thinking about K. Some people are worried about K. But K is nothing to worry about.."
On Monday 'K' could be diet, on Tuesday it could be Zika Virus, on Wednesday it could be lack of sleep...
So true! Both "cookie cutter content" and keyword stuffing can be cause for Google to penalize an author or a site.
All writers should know about the significance keywords if their blogs or articles should reach net surfers.
@bestwriter am learning online and you are one of my teachers
That is interesting. I learnt much of these things from @ruby3881. It is good to have just enough keywords
I'm glad you are experimenting with keywords, Meshack! You do have to be careful not to repeat any word or phrase overly much in an article, and your post should make sense and be original. Google used to look only for specific keywords but now their software is more sophisticated. They can look for synonyms and different forms of a keyword or keyword phrase. So you can add some variety to your post, and write more naturally so your post doesn't feel like it was written only for the search engines.
When I worked in an article writing site that was based in France, we were always required to have key words in our articles. I cannot forget that site, I received more$1000 a month. We were paid twice a month and we were the one who prepared voucher. So nice to know and remember.
