If one accepts the possibility of reincarnation, that is, that one was ‘here before’. Reincarnation means that one was born before. That one was born, and lived a life, then died. That a person died and the soul of that person transmigrated into another body. And that person was reborn.
If one accepts the possibility of that, then one must ask; “Did (Do) the Experiences of that Past Life effect the Person alive today?”
For example, we all know people who could ‘do better’. They live small lives and seem set on doing as little as possible to get by, when they have so many opportunities to advance. For some reason, they take their small life and that is what they seem to choose.
When they have a job, they never stay late. If they are self-employed they work just enough to have a normal life.
For these people, family, friends, fun, always takes precedence over work. They will turn down promotions if in any way that promotion will detract from their out side lives.
These people may lose business because of their slow work or numerous vacations. They don’t seem to care. So what if they were on a long vacation when that fantastic offer came up? So what if they lost a client because they were not willing to work through a holiday?
These people are professional underachievers. Money doesn’t persuade them any more than would prestige.
It doesn’t make sense.
They miss vital meetings to attend their child’s graduation, or take a day to visit someone in the hospital, aware that the missed meeting and the absence will impact their pocket, and don’t care.
Could it be that in their past life these people had dedicated themselves to their jobs or pursuits and missed their lives?
Could it be that in a past life this was a hard working person who wound up ‘married’ to the job because their wives/husbands left them? Could it be that in a past life this person missed their child’s growing up because they were so busy with work?
Is their life today provoked not by ‘now’ events and situations, but by the memories of a Past Life, in which they wound up alone because of their prioritising of work?
