Is There a Such Thing as Freedom of Speech

Are we really allowed to say what we really want to say? Well, yes, and no, we can be attacked for saying how we feel or telling the truth even. Of course there’s some that can say whatever their heart desires and nothing. Then there’s those who speak the truth and are criticized. Why? Because they’re speaking the truth and no one really wants to hear the truth. If someone tells that they’ve been a victim of a crime or they’re been attacked in some way. There will be those individuals who will try to tell the voice to shut up. Not realizing that because they’re saying to shut up when make the person or persons tell more information that some may not be willing to hear.

How can some tell others to be quiet when they’re opening their big mouths. It’s funny how some can do all sorts of mean things to others and as soon as the person or persons stand up there’s boo’s. Oh yes indeed. Truth being told isn’t something everyone wants to hear because they want to be able to say and do whatever they want. If that means attacking others then that’s what they’ll do but someone has to speak up and out. Those who refuse to tolerate bullying are the courageous ones. Those who constantly use words to try to hurt others are cowards. There’s something going on within them and they don’t know how to deal with their issues so they’ll stay their issues on someone else. Speak, “I say,” there’s no way that we should be allowing others to bash us and not say a word.

Some can even threaten others and no one says anything but if a certain group of people do the same then there will be consequences. That’s how things are. Freedom of speech and free country are just sayings. If we expect changes then we have to be willing to do some things to create change. If anyone think that threats will keep me quiet then they’re mistaken. In fact there may be more communications and some may not be pleased about what will come fourth.

If we’re kind and compassionate then we may receive better results. Insults and bullying will only fuel the fire. The silence here. No sir or Ma’am. That’s the problem. Too many people are afraid to speak out and society what get any better by remaining silent about bullying and other social issues. Attacking others certainly won’t make those who are in positions to assist or willing to assist do so. There will come a time when a person or persons gets tired of being attacked and then they’ll go to the law to help piece things together.

We would think that we’ll be more encouraging. Shouldn’t we be happy that some are trying to do better? Trying to “prosper.” Unfortunately not so many are thrilled with others trying to better their lives. When we put effort to do better, doing better can even help our economy, perhaps no one really thinks about that. Pulling up should be going on. Not tearing down. Imagine how stable the country could be if more people allowed others to grow. More revenue means more stability.

    • Back in the 1970s a man walked across a University Campus with a sign that said F*ck (the U was in the sign) He was arrested and pleased Freedom of Speech and the Court agreed with him.

John Lennon did a song called Working Class Hero. On the radio it is bleeped because he has a line where he says, 'until you are so f*cking crazy..'

Since then, to cause the greatest amount of mental hiccups the 'politically correct' terminology has arrived. We can not say what we think or feel or mean because it is banned.

This does not mean our opinions have changed or our views, we just suppress them. We say nothing, but do things.

    • We all have freedom of speech. We don't all choose to exercise our freedom of speech. Some prefer to pray silently and let God speak on their behalf. Because when God talks, everybody listens. :) An atheist or unbeliever may laugh at my comments. But I'm not being funny. I'm serious!

    • As this point of time, my country is experiencing political turmoil. We can still have the freedom of speech. In time, I anticipate that it will be ceased soon. There are so many things going on in the country and some people are bashed by the local people if said things against to the president.

In my opinion, some of my fellowmen are blinded of what's really going on in the country. It cannot be denied because the news continued to circulate nationally and internationally. I am not proud of it. It gives shameful act to those people who have political powers.

    • Listen me carefully my respected readers, speech is a process of imagine, thinking and giving your thinking practical shape via chosen words is called speech in modern language. Freedom means to say something keeping in mind what is wrong and what is right is called freedom of speech. I call it the sense of right and wrong.

Politician make such laws that we cannot say wrong thing about them in any way or you cannot say any negative thing about them. Those in which freedom of speech is means the public may say what they think about something or someone.

The real meaning of freedom of speech is to say truth not lie lie is not the part of human nature is man's self created formula to avoid shame in public. On the political level the public may say just their conscious but what the public will will be acted upon never, never because freedom of speech is to befool the public in a technical way.

As in USA freedom of speech is but what the public say no body acts upon it why? because they know that if we do what the public say will lead us to hell.

Freedom of speech does not mean to hoot other or disgrace other keeping in mind the freedom speech. Freedom of speech means in the real sense advise someone morally so that they could mend selves and nothing else.
