Ex-Director General in the Corporate Affairs Ministry (Delhi) was arrested on the grounds of accepting a bribe from a pharmaceutical company to clear them of mal practices, in July this year.
Having no way to get out of the situation the only recourse left was to commit suicide. He, his son, his wife and daughter all committed suicide on the same day.
:Looking at the situation what was in store for this family seemed worse than getting out of this world and relieving themselves by committing suicide.
The repercussion of his deeds would have left them on the streets having once lived in luxury. Rather than go through that they preferred the only alternative left for them.
Suicide is condemned and it is easy for those who have no reason to commit suicide to think that it is a heinous crime. But having to live in torture rest of their life having no other choice, why would anyone want to go through it? .
The breaking news has more details on how much this man had amassed and thinking that what he amassed would slip out of his hands perhaps made him take this extreme step. They must have all discussed the issue before ending their life.

Yet on the other hand, there was this builder who failed to keep to commitments as he became bankrupt because of lack of business ideas. Rather than commit suicide he fled the country with his family. Reports have it that he is doing extremely well wherever he is and has started his real estate venture with thumping success.
I wonder whether this minister who committed suicide could not have thought on those lines rather than kill himself and his family. Surely he must have had friends here and there who could have helped him fled the country. This is wrong no doubt but atleast lives would have been saved.

Suicide is never the only recourse left. Sadly, however, some people think that it is. When they commit suicide it's far too late for them to say “Uumm … I changed my mind!” My prayer is that we can get to those who are contemplating such a drastic measure before they do the deed and hopefully save their life. Life is precious. It's not something you should throw away.
Not being able to face what would be in store perhaps drives some towards suicide. One needs strength to overcome those fears.
Those who commit suicide are cowards and cannot face the darkest realities life but I think that those who have no nice friend often seen commits suicide due to severe disappointment. It is very serious matter for the parents and the government to do something for such persons and try to research its root causes roaming in the society.
Many teens who attempt or die by suicide have a mental health condition. As a result, they have trouble coping with the stress of being a teen, such as dealing with rejection, failure, breakups and family turmoil. They might also be unable to see that they can turn their lives around — and that suicide is a permanent response, not a solution, to a temporary problem.
I think these may be the the main causes of committing suicide as
What are the risk factors for teen suicide?
A teen might feel suicidal due to certain life circumstances such as:
Having a psychiatric disorder, including depression
Loss of or conflict with close friends or family members
History of physical or sexual abuse or exposure to violence
Problems with alcohol or drugs
Physical or medical issues, for example, becoming pregnant or having a sexually transmitted infection
Being the victim of bullying
Being uncertain of sexual orientation
Exposure to the suicide of a family member or friend
Begin adopted
Family history of mood disorder or suicidal behavior
You are wrong jhsayyar. It is not the cowards' way out. You are a foolish demented old man/woman. You cannot grasp what it's like. You automatically assume suicide is selfish. But if you get injured every time you play football, maybe you decide it's just not the sport for you. Well, every day for me is like a game of football.
I for one, have an illness. Mitochondrial disease causes fatigue, dizziness, migraine, dry eyes, sensitivity to light, brain fog, pressure in head, by eyes, reynauds, bad knee, bad joints, back issues, depression, anxiety, sleep apnea,a and many more issues 24/7. My newesr issue is lung collapsing(pneumothorax). It happened twice and I was at children's for 3 days once and 5 days second. I hate a chest tube both times, and lung surgery the second. They chopped part of it off and stapled it then attached it to back of chest wall. And that was 2 weeks ago. I'm ONLY 18 MALE. I am screwed. I hope maybe you reconsider your view. Calling it selfish doesn't make it so. I have nothing. I can't do much. I can't drive even though I bought a car and started learning. Bit brain fog got bad and always made me crash a month ago. I haven't driven since. I'm probably killing myself soon.
