Introduction of Border – Gavaskar Trophy played Between Australia and India

In cricket India and Australia Encounters are always very great and followed by many around the world. India and Australia always play a 4 Match test series twice in 4 years time. When last time India toured Australia in 2014-15 for 4 match test series, India was defeated by Australia 2-0 and that means the Border Gavaskar Trophy remained with Australia. Australia was next scheduled to tour India in 2017 to play 4 matches Test series and by looking at India’s home record and performance India was the favorite to won the series and to recapture the Border Gavaskar Trophy. That series was wrapped up on 28th March, 2017 and India won the series 2-1 and claims the Border Gavaskar Trophy from Australia. I would like to re-live the series and would like to share the ups and downs of that series. The first match of the series was played on Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune, India. It was played from 23rd to 27th Feb, 2017.

Also this stadium become the 25^th Test match Venue for India, so now India can schedule a Test match in as many as 25 stadium’s across the country which are all Approved by the International Cricket Council.

Writers Analysis: As per the Pitch report, the pitch will provide more assistance to spin bowlers and if a pace bowler bends his back and hits the pitch hard then it will surely attract good bounce and carry which will surely help a fast bowler to took wickets and with the likes of M Stark inclusion in Australia team, it will surely cause a threat to Indian team.
