Border- Gavaskar Trophy 4th Test Match ( 2nd Innings)

Australia posted total of 300 runs in its 1st Innings and now it’s India’s turn to bat well and will try to take lead in the 4th Test match of Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. India batted well but lost wickets in heap in the middle of the day and was in threat of conceding lead again to Australia. But with the batting of W Saha and R Jadeja , India was able to post total of 332 runs in 118.1 over’s at the loss of all 10 wickets and got lead of 32 runs. Though lead of 32 runs is not enough but still it is helpful and will put Australia in pressure. For India R Jadeja top scored with 63 runs in 95 balls with 4 fours and 4 six and K L Rahul made 60 runs in 124 balls with 9 fours and 1 six. Other contributors were C Pujara who made 57 runs in 151 balls with 6 fours and Skipper A Rahane who made 46 runs in 104 balls with 7 fours and 1 six.

For Australia Nathan L was the pick of bowlers as he took 5 wickets by conceding 92 runs in his 34.1 overs and Pat C took 3 wickets by wasting 94 runs in his 30 over’s. Other remaining 2 wickets were shared between Josh H and S O Kefee. Nathan L bowled in very good areas and already many areas have been created by fast bowlers on the pitch which will help spin bowlers to take more spin out of the track.

Writers Analysis:  At one time it was looking that India will concede lead to Australia even after very good start by India but R Jadeja helped India in negating any lead to Australia and getting lead of 32 runs and with the pitch deteriorating these 32 runs are very crucial for both teams and Indian cricket team will try to took at least 1 wicket of Australia before they get pass this lead.
