Happy or dejected- Decide for yourself

One of my professional trainees who otherwise remain cheerful during my classes was not in his usual self as he normally behaves friendly and attentively. He was obviously stressed, tired looking and dejected. I wanted to ask him the reason for his low feeling but postponed it until the training session was over. Later he was among the first who left the room without even looking at anyone so I did not get a chance to ask him the reason.

However, I was sitting in my cabin waiting for my next lesson and thinking about human behavior. I feel too much of everything including too much of dejection or too much of enthusiasm both can harm us in long run.

Right now I am thinking about a book “The Friendship Fix: The Complete Guide to Choosing, Losing, and Keeping Up” I read a little while back written by Andrea Bonior (By the way the book is available at Amazon).

Actually, the book deals with different topics about human relations especially with your friends, intimate relation, breakup and reunion but what I felt when someone finds him/herself unwanted by their loved ones goes into a deep state of dejection. It’s a situation where a person goes into a sad and depressed state with spirits dipping down so low he loses interest in life.

We often talk about a living a balanced life but I must accept to the fact that it’s not as easy we generally think or talk about it. We look at things in two colors black or white or specifically speaking cheerful or sad but find it hard to keep a balance in between the two and when something tilts toward the side which we do not like go into a sad mood.

Actually we expect everything completed 100% as we do not settle for lesser. And when we miss our target even by whisker we consider it as a failure.
