What use are you in the kitchen? Oh my god, you in the kitchen, it would be really messy!
Have you ever set even five clothes of yours- how will you manage washing and drying clothes?
You have studied all your life, so what will you be doing in the house- you are useless there.
My father told me some of these, my mother had similar words, and now my wife and some of my grown up sisters (real and cousin tell me so). And to add it all, those cunning so called sister-in-laws leave no stone unturned to let me down.
So here is Ananth Srivastava, B.tech, MBA, and with skills in subjects which seem weird to many people.
So what if my interest was in those x squares and z to the power of 6 equations and those mantissas and Logs and those quadratic and Gaussian theorems and equations, and those advanced Mathematical analysis, which make many run.
Now all this comes at a cost. I was a flop at making GFs.
I was B- in sports in school, even though I still jog for 15 minutes on the weekends(I just have 24 hours on the weekdays, you son of a gun, and you thought I was a superhero who can skip his sleep, no way man!)
And here I am attempting to prove that I can manage and handle household chores equally effectively as ladies of the house.
No, I just wanted to make myself assured that I am not a disaster in these affairs.
How can I be very bad when compared to my wife’s washing of 12 utensils in 1 minute, I manage 8.
For 20 clothes she washes in 10 minutes, I take 9.5 mins even though I use the detergent a bit more.
For ladies, its just a matter of putting clothes on ropes to dry and then take them from the ropes.
For me, there are circular patterns, rectangles and occasional trapezoids.
At times, there are 2 cms overlaps. Sometimes, the gap is 1 cm, its 5 cm on hot sunny days when clothes dry faster.
As for chapatis, I know that they burn a bit more. However, they are between an ellipse and a circle and highly edible. Nobody has fallen sick after eating them.
Still I am being told ‘You are a flop in household affairs.’
Or ‘Leave it to your wife or other ladies of the house.’
But why? I am still more focused on my job but Ananth Srivastava has certain targets to meet at home too.

By the way, my cauliflower vegetable took just 24.5 mins in the presure cooker, as compared to 32 mins my wife’s cooking takes.
Now, isn’t that a big % improvement!

Hmm. Good. Keep it up. you are an ideal husband. Who helps his wife when she can't do kitchen stuff, whatever the reason is.
@shifa No I am far from idea, but then my main voice is against type-casting anyone. Many people in the world say women can't do x z stuff, or men can't do a b c stuff.. but then such people have to understand that it is not always about who can do what but who can do what at a certain time, and we ought not keep on complaining about one person.
@bestwriter yes many Men are good cooks, but the person in this post never wanted to prove anything to others, but to himself.
You know something? The best cooks and tailors in the world are men. Now back there and tell them that (lol)
You know what no one should discourage you when you try to do some chores in the house. if anything I applaud you for trying there are some people who wouldn't even try to wash dishes. Even as women when we started being taught how to do this things we also took time to learn so just like us you will soon be good at it keep going and you will become a professional good luck
