With more and more youngsters leaving the shores seeking greener pastures, it has become necessary for us to cling to society for our survival.
Apart from this, it is not common to see, that within a family, or in the real world of friends and neighbors there will not be many who share our interests. And that is the time we resort to online interactions that give us an opportunity to share and seek.
I am one such individual. I am starved of company in the real world in that I do not have anyone who has my interests. None of them are in any of the writing sites. They have no interest in photography nor are they interested in pets and gardening and so many of my other interests. .
This has a downside and that is I no longer miss my family, nor my friends nor neighbors. Sad though the scenario is but for me I need something to keep my grey matter going.
In my virtual world my connections are ever ready to look at the various photos I upload, discuss issues that are close to my heart, read my poems and appreciate them. And I in turn do likewise. In other words online for me is a one big happy family where I sometimes even lend my shoulder to cry on and I could borrow a couple or two when I am in need.
The information that we exchange based on our personal experience cannot be compared to any research done by researchers and this information is more trustworthy and we can go by it blindly.
The gap between those who depend on their virtual world and their real world is widening and it has come to such a pass that sometimes one does not meet with the other for years and that includes even siblings.
It is time we expect this more as a rule than an exception and move on.

I am very sorry to know that my article which delves into the value of a family has never gone to its initial stage to be posted here. It was being put to "offline". It is about the truth which I know, which I nurture for 36 years. I put the title as "The Truth Sets Me Free". I don't know why it was "disapproved" Or it is just held in abeyance for some reason. I hope so. It will come out soon and be online.
@nakitakona13 Did your blog finally become live? There are quite a few who are fortunate to have their real life connections intact.
Our society had changed through the years. I do agree that most of our lives are dependent on virtual things. I must admit that my circle of friends is totally virtual. There is a definite gap between the two world: real or virtual.
In time, I will step out from this comfort zone of mine. Since it is becoming not healthy to dwell in a virtual world. I also like to make it balance. I can't turn my back in either way of preference.
@shavkat I hope you will meet with success but those with whom you want to connect may not be ready for it as they too would have lost interest in real life connections.
