If we Expect Bridges to be Built Then we Must Agree to Build Them

Many may say that we shouldn’t build walls or a fence but at the same time they may display the very same thing that they suggest we should be building. Yes, times have changes, and some things have remained the same for the most part. If we continue to create wars such as religious wars, racial wars, and wars within our communities then we will continue to see a decline in humanity. If we’re not careful we could see things similar to the way they were 100 years or so ago. That’s why it’s important that we help curb discrimination and racism. Of course we can not change people but we can take a stand against racism and discrimination.

Wars begin with hate and fear. Hate is actually a product of fear. We can not solve problems with hate. Once we come to terms that we’ll have differences but we can come together with differences then we’ll be in better positions. There’s a certain race that has experienced racism and discrimination through not only slavery but through other tactics. If we continue on such a path then we will find ourselves going further back and it wouldn’t be good for any race.

Just because one feels passionate about their race, culture, and heritage. That doesn’t mean that they don’t care about others or other races and cultures. The division has been going on for too long. Threatening and attacks a certain group of people will not generate the results you’re seeking. If we demonstrate love then we’ll be able to connect on an amazing level but as long as the hate flows about. We will continue to be at war with one another.

Even today “civil rights” are still being violated. The racism as made it’s way into the lives of those who fought so hard to keep racism discrimination away. There’s a whole lot of people who marched and rallied who are here to tell the story and who still feel the effects of racism. Martin Dr. King Jr. fought way too  hard for human rights. There’s no need to go somewhere and hide and be riddled with fear of being attacked by groups of people. Taking a stand is necessary and it can help in some way.Letting people know that we’re not going to stand around and accept being racially attacked by any group.

    • This is a very insightful post! I don't think we can state often enough that hate stems from fear of what is different or unknown. Until we put away our "us and them" mentality, there will always be strife. Shared across several social networks, so more people can read.
