It’s a fact that if someone considers his job as ‘work’ that he has to finish or spends his time looking at watch constantly he will never be able to enjoy his work. In my views the one that enjoys his work does it better than others and gets best result.
I have read couple of interesting lines written by Ryan Holiday in his book “Trust Me, I’m Lying: Confessions of a Media Manipulator” which is available at Amazon. He says most workers are under pressure due to their work just because they consider their work as liability and they live a stressful life. When you do your job with a happy frame of mind your mind remains peaceful.
The fact is, we can’t survive without doing our duty and if we do not enjoy doing our work then we shall not be able to enjoy our life. If one feels work is a burden on his happy life he is wrong. But most of us believe that work is a hurdle in between us and joy of life but the reality is just opposite.
There is another theory by Stephen Alvin the famous expert on theoretical physics from Risk management Consultant that proves a relation in between work and joy. He says when you have no faith on your working abilities the problem begins. Actually unless you enjoy your work your chances of achieving your target is almost nil.
If Alvin believes that faith on your abilities and joy of work is mantra of success and makes your job easy another expert on the subject a famous neuroscientist David Eagleman goes a step further. He says if you discharge your duty with a happy frame of mind you get used to it and never feel like you were working but do everything as part of your life with as much ease as we complete our routine jobs.

I do agree of what you had pointed out here. If a person doesn't enjoy his or her work, the quality of work is not good. As it was also said that work is like playing in the playground. You can never the time passed by so fast. At some point, you wanted to continue working and doesn't matter if extending more time at his or her workstation.
