Do not expect that doctors can make you healthy.

Some time ago I have read autobiographic book of one cardiac surgeon, who had brilliant gift of God, have performed thousands of successful operations, as well as the heart operations. He never stood away, even stranger’s woes took as own ones and punished himself for every error, even the smallest sought to avoid as it could cost a human’s life.

Rigor and perfectionism for his self, incredible openness, courage and compassion to patients has enthralled the hearts of many people. Probably, after hard surgery he threw a challenged for the old age, has created his own load and restriction system, and was noticed by the whole world.

Thousands of people got interested in Amosov’s health system, and even if at the life’s end academic admitted that finally old age defeated him, he lived for nearly 90 years.

If you have not heard about his system, there are a few tips on how to live in harmony with medicine longer and suffer less from disease. Of course, for some of you his system may look a bit strange, but it uses many people.

You should not expect that doctors can make you healthy. They can save your life, even cure the disease, but they only will lead you to the start, all the rest that you would live reliably depends on you. He did not belittle the powerful medical role as lifelong served to medicine, however, but also he knew the health’s benefits in theory and in practice. He could boast as he made an experiment with himself – everyday for three hours of jogging and exercises with a dumbbells.

Doctors treat diseases, but the health via workouts you should get by yourself. Because the health – it’s the organs reserve’s capacity of all our physiology.  The capacity is necessary to support the normal physical and mental functions at the rest time and under the load, as well as to not get ill and if become ill that would not die. For example, that the blood pressure and heart rate during exercise or jogging would not increase by more than one and half times and the inevitable shortness of breath would quickly go by. That we would not fear a bad weather and that common cold would end quickly and without drugs, by self. And in general, that we would perform our work easily, that would have a good sleep, good appetite. And this power is not produced by the drugs, but only by exercises, workouts, loads; and by the own work – tolerance to cold, heat, hunger, fatigue.

Everyone feels what is the disease – the various features of the disorder, interfering with feel the happiness and even to live. Reasons are also known: external factors as infection, ecology, social upheavals, or personal indiscretion. Sometimes – congenital defects. Doctor stated that a man is strong by his nature. At least, for most of people. True, small illnesses are inevitable, but the more serious usually happens due to unwise lifestyle: decreased reserves because of absence of body training. External conditions, deprivation, stress is on the second place.

The training of the reserves must be wise. This means that training must be gradual but persistent. For instance, every day increase the level achieved yesterday, but it should depend on age and initial health status. It means, do every day more that yesterday, and tomorrow will do even more than today. As for the nature of the workout – this is a mode of restrictions and loads. There is nothing original, just a three main points:

The first is the food with the least fat and your weight should be equal to the height minus 100.

The second point- a workout. There is more complicated. Workout is needed for everyone, especially for the children and old men. For the maintaining a normal health practice there should be at least an hour a day of workout.  His advices is to practice in front of the television when shows the news for to save time. There should be an area for walking, you can walk to work and back, at least one kilometer, walking is useful and calms the nerves. Jogging for most people is unrealistic, however, it is useful.

The third point, by the way, the most difficult: the mental control. Learn to control yourself. However, it is hard! There are lot recipes, for instance – meditation. Doctor used a simple method: when came anger and increased the amount of adrenaline, he focused attention on rare, rhythmic breathing and tried to relax the muscles.

Ideally in this case would be to perform gymnastic exercises, but after all, the environment usually is inappropriate. But still, as soon as the environment will be right – workout. Adrenaline excess will be burned in exercise, and blood vessels and organs protected from spasms.

If you are young – up to 60 and you still not feel the symptoms of diseases of the organs, then you do not need run to the clinic for any slightest pain.  As I said, our doctors do not trust nature, prefer drugs and quiet. Do not fall into their captivity! They will find more diseases and   convince you for the rest and treatment.

The body has a powerful security forces – the immune system, compensation mechanisms. They will work, it is necessary to give a little time. Keep in mind that many small illnesses resolve spontaneously, doctor’s pills only supports this spontaneous recovery. They will say that cured you and you will believe what the good doctor it was, when in the reality it was you who cured yourself. If you’ve been lucky enough to get a good doctor, remember, the doctor – it’s more than just a specialist. He is not a plumber. Follow his instructions, but keep moderation. And do not seek to get more medicines than you need or those which your neighbor is taking. Remember that you should drink fewer drugs.

To remain healthy, you need a strong character. How a weak person should find the best average of the triangle of diseases, doctors and exercise? His advice: choose the last – exercises and restrictions. At least try. Believe – it will pay off! Although, everyone has his own destiny and health.

An interesting question – why people are often sick? Doctor said that 90% of people, if live in right way, would be healthy. Unfortunately, the regime will require efforts. And the man has little will. Writing about medicine, life and death, and finally about himself, Amosov is relentlessly open, he is chatting with his conscience. And it teaches to think better and deeper, makes us think about how to live.

    • I agree, they are there to treat the illness but the over all recovery is in our hands. we are the ones that going to feel the pain, might as well avoid things that might trigger it. Avoid eating foods that are bad to us, that will lead us in grave danger. Follow the doctors instruction. Our life is in our hands. If we really love ourselves, we will do everything to save our lives.

    • It is so amazing that a heart surgeon had related his experience regarding diet and exercise; and not only the doctors could save a patient, but it is the patient himself who needs to "treat himself" with the right attitude and discipline.

    • i will never ever expect the doctors or rean new mdeicine make us healthy, they do help to som elimit
      and you just the one who can make your self helathy by know what makes your body bad or good, but telling the doctor your pain and how to get the option to try the medicines
