Did Russia Meddle In The U.S. Presidential Election?

The allegations of Russian meddling in the United States Presidential Elections last November 2016 as well as the link or connection of President Donald Trump’s campaign group and the Kremlin associates keeps on haunting and following the Trump’s administration.

The continuing saga of this controversy seems not to die down a bit. It will reach the magnitude of the Watergate scandal in the coming days that lies ahead.

If this controversy will not be put to rest or no closure of it will be seen, then the election controversy may further destroy Trump’s credibility and respectability as President of the most powerful country in the world.

Political Implications Of Russian Interference

If the allegation of the Russian interference with the United States Presidential Election that lead to the winning of President Trump then the result of the November 2016 election will be under the great cloud of doubt.

Additionally, assuming that such interference by Russia will prove to be true, then the will of the American people in the said election is clearly defeated and in constant peril.

Such meddling by Russia in the American politics clearly violates International Law and should not be countenanced.

It is hard to think that the United States election may be rigged by Russian given all the modern technologies of America. It seems surrealistic that such incident may happen indeed.

What will Russia gain in supporting President Donald trump in the November 2016 election?  Or stated otherwise, why will Russia meddle or interfere with the United States Presidential Election, for what end?

If Russia could interfere with the national election of the United States which is consider a superpower, what would stop Russia from interfering from the national election of other country?

Growing Russian Aggressiveness

The Russian annexation of Crimea is still fresh from our mind. Some says that it was a simple land grabbing that has no place in the modern International Political Order and under the International Law.

The Crimean issue shows Russian determination to be a major global power and international player once again just like during the Cold War.

Next aggressive move is when Russia comes to the aid of Syria in fighting the rebel forces trying to topple the regime of President Bassar al-Assad. Russia has conducted its military ground operation as well as aerial sorties in Syria.

And then the latest aggressive move is this allegation of interference with the United States Presidential Election.

We know that the Russian President Vladimir Putin has denied such allegations. But a mere denial of such allegations will simply not remedy or solve this hounding controversy. Even during the height of the Cold War, there is no known report that the United States has ever interfere or try to influence with the result of any Russian election and vise-versa.

Perhaps the rule of the game in International or Geo-Politics is changing and that the present crops of world leaders are different. Maybe the political dynamics between Russia and the United States is likewise changing.

Be that as it may, the American public and everyone following American politics deserve to know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth in this election controversy.

    • I would love to be able to say that nobody really cares. I have no doubt that most, if not all of US would just like to get on with the business of making America better (cause it's already great!).

But the fact is, while campaigning ~ Trump, the POTUS candidate, created the “Trump-Putin question marks” by putting his own foot in his own mouth. His own words followed him into the White House.

The questions about Russian interference should be answered and not hovering over his administration like a huge gray cloud. A GIANT BLUR!! I'm sorry but it's just not how to run one of the greatest free nations on the planet. The USA should have clear blue skies and beautiful rainbows; and not dark clouds, ominous shadows, and a “questionable atmosphere”.

Is it too much to ask of any elected U.S. official to MAKE PLAIN to the citizens of this country, who our true allies are and who our real enemies are that threaten US or … who meddle in our affairs? I don't think it's an unreasonable request.

    • The question that I ask; how stupid are people? If someone said that our Prime Minister was an X or influenced by Y, or if all kind of articles appeared in fake news sites about him, we'd snort it away. That is because we think for ourselves.

Stories were made up about Hilary and people believed them
