Dear EJK Killers, Before You Kill Someone…

Dear EJK Killers;

How are you doing right now? I hope you have not killed someone again. I hope you are not holding your guns right now. Hope you are not planning another shooting of a drug pusher in our country.

Why I write you because of the troubling incidence of Extra Judicial Killings of the alleged drug personalities of the Philippines. You see the war on drugs is really making some headlines in the news nowadays. More than 4,000 of people killed. Some are done with the legitimate police of the Philippine National Police but some are unlucky to be killed by unidentified suspects. Killing nowadays is simple, simple as planting seedlings in the mountain. You just multiple shot the suspect until the ammos in the magazine of your gun is empty then you put a placard beside your victim saying he is a drug pusher.

It’s your dirty job, we know that. But you have a conscience to think of the families of your victims. The anguish and sorrows of the mother and father holding their lifeless son; the cries of the children orphaned by your hands; the weeping of the wives to know their husband was killed in the road while walking in the street.

Can you sleep soundly while lying on bed thinking the bloods and shot wounds of the victims? How they slowly perished in the ground.

But would you mind to consider these things before pulling that trigger.

Orphaned children. You say to give a good future of the children is to get rid of the drug pushers who will ruin their life. Nice thoughts there. But have you ever thought that when you kill their father (and sometimes the mother), its not only their life you have taken but also the future of their children. Who will take good care of the children when their father had already gone? Who will give proper education to them when government has no program about this? These kids will grow uneducated and later become a problem in the community because no parents will guide them. Your problem will become the problem of your children too.

Killing Is Not Your Duty. Isn’t good that your job is motivating them to change as a good citizen rather than killing them? Isn’t that more noble? Isn’t that the best obligation and duties of a man to his fellow human being? I believe we have no right to take away lives of people, especially when you are just being pawn as extra judicial killers. Are you not afraid of their ghost? While you are lying in bed and the images of the people you kill will return to you, can you sleep well?

Too Much Killing Will Not Make You Hero. You kill one and your conscience will shadow you. You kill three and you will become hero; you kill ten or more and you are a monster killer. A man without respect and face. A man who served nothing but to obey a senseless master. You are not winning the battle and much more to war. You kill more and you are losing.

Dear Killers, have some heart to the people and compassion to yourself. Respect yourself. Do not just waste your lives for nothing. You just don’t know, when you know more and the people you served will want to silence you when the day become complicated.

I hope my letter touch your heart.

Your friend

    • It is legal to kill the drug smugglers because one drug smuggler becomes the enemy of thousands of innocent men ans women I say those who support the drug smugglers support the social evils in any country. It is a social evil spreading all over the world.

      I think that Drug trafficking is a global illicit trade involving the cultivation, manufacture, distribution and sale of substances which are subject to drug prohibition laws.

      At current levels, world heroin consumption (340 tons) and seizures represent an annual flow of 430-450 tons of heroin into the global heroin market. Of that total, opium from Myanmar and the Lao People's Democratic Republic yields some 50 tons,

      while the rest, some 380 tons of heroin and morphine, is produced exclusively from Afghan opium. While approximately 5 tons are consumed and seized in Afghanistan, the remaining bulk of 375 tons is trafficked worldwide via routes flowing into and through the countries neighbouring Afghanistan.
      The Balkan and northern routes are the main heroin trafficking corridors linking Afghanistan to the huge markets of the Russian Federation and Western Europe.

      The Balkan route traverses the Islamic Republic of Iran (often via Pakistan), Turkey, Greece and Bulgaria across South-East Europe to the Western European market, with an annual market value of some $20 billion.

      The northern route runs mainly through Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan (or Uzbekistan or Turkmenistan) to Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation. The size of that market is estimated to total $13 billion per year.
