Day of too many mistakes

My day began with a small mistake that I overlooked as it was not as troubling which I thought could not be corrected easily. I got up late at 5 .20 in the morning instead of my routine 5. But I managed to reach to the park for my routine jogging by almost 15 minutes late. That reminded me of my father who used to say that, ‘some of our mistakes are forgettable if you promise to not to repeat them’.

However, I have reasons to believe that if we commit a mistake it’s hard to forget the mistake but we tend to blame ourselves finding more mistakes we did in the past or finding our other faults or failure to meet a certain standard, typically in our character, failures of plans in the past, or our system. That is very much natural.

I have felt at number of times especially when I committed a particular mistake that I did not know how to do things in a perfect manner or if someone said a critical word I thought I was not worth doing anything properly. Nobody says all these things to me but these feelings come from within me which disturb me for a long time until something good makes me cheerful again.

Actually, It’s all about how we set rules for our life or maybe we are revolving round certain too rigid rules sometimes too tough to follow or beyond our reach and when something goes wrong we feel bad. I promised to myself to be more careful in future and forgot it.

However, we should not feel bad when we fail thinking that others will laugh on us but we should do what we are capable of doing beyond that, things will become complicated and only create problems for your mental health. You can’t please everyone so do what pleases you but within a limit.
