Control Direction

If we let others make decisions for us,

we have no control. When we control the decisions,

we control the actions. The best decisions

are the ones made with appropriate forethought on how they affect us. Others seldom think

for you in that manner.

If you don’t run your own life, somebody else will.

Sometimes if you want to see a change for the better,

you have to take things into your own hands.

You can tell a lot about a man by the way he handles

unfavourable circumstances.

Relationships

We gain what we want through teamwork and our relationship

with others. To be agreeable, to be liked, to cooperate –

this contributes immeasurably to our success. When we coordinate our efforts with the efforts of others, we speed the way to our goals. Cooperation builds success. It is a fragile thread that binds us to each other.

You cannot continuously improve interdependent systems and processes until you progressively perfect interdependent, interpersonal relationships.

The world basically and fundamentally is constituted on the basis of harmony. Everything works in cooperation with something else. No employer today is independent of those about him.

He cannot succeed alone, no matter how great his ability or capital. Business today is more than ever a question of cooperation.

Personal relationships are the fertile soil from which all advancement, all success, all achievement in real life grows.

If your imagination leads you to understand how quickly people grant your requests when those requests appeal to their self-interest, you can have practically anything you go after.

Put yourself in the other man’s place, and then you will know why he thinks certain things and does certain deeds.

How strange is the lot of us mortals! Each of us is here for a brief sojourn; for what purpose he knows not, though he senses it. But without deeper reflection one knows from daily life that one exists for other people.

Coming together is a beginning; Keeping together is progress; Working together is success.
