Cheating Others is Nothing But a Self Deceit

You will see countless persons cheating others in practical life but those who do so with hurt selves in the real sense. I have also seen that women are cheated more than men in practical field because women trust easily in men just by praising them among the public or relatives or friends.

Sometimes I have seen that husbands cheat their wives in real life that is a bad thing I do not like because doing so you cheat your left part if your body and your children’s mother and your beloved wife. I have also seen that such people cheat just for other women whom they love leaving their wives the mother of their children.

Those who cheat others fate cheats him in the finest way even they cannot think of it how fates cheat men in real life because the law of nature is not blind but is lazy in real life. Cheater and liars have no respect in society and family therefore we all of us avoid cheating and telling a lie in real life. It is  a fact that both degrade and disgrace men among fellow men.

Last year a girl from China asked me question on face book that my husband cheats me after marriage while she has a baby toddler in her lap. Reading the question I reminded of a story that I have read many years ago how a clever husband cheats his wife after marriage.

Paul St McCoy’s comedy’s title “Even Exchange” is the most appropriate for the play due to a bit of humorous touch in a fine style. It thoroughly deals with a newly married extravagant couple Andy and Effie who promise to save something for their future giving up the habit of spending lavishly and work out a comfortable routine as man and wife. It involves a fair bit of give-and-take and thrashing out of sensitive issues. As the text shows:

“Andy, you promise me you had stopped buying…

Effie, Why…yes (stoutly) Andy I have been cutting down

Dear. ( She removes the hat and replaces it slowly in box on table.”

Thrashing out their expenses and less income they promise to cut down their expenses on the costly dresses to respect each other’s wishes at home and out of home. But buying a costly hat Effie breaks the promise and Andy starts fighting with her making a plan against Effie with Mrs. Winslow who helps him to give him again his self-buying suit to Effie as a gift of her ex-husband. At last the plan ends in smoke.

But the quarrel between Andy and Effie remains still due to returning not the hat to the shopkeeper. On the other hand, Andy also buys a suit of his own money and gets the help of Mrs. Winslow to give Effie as her ex-husband useless gift suit while both have promised to cut down their expenses on costly things. Both Andy and Effie prove as an extravagant couple in their practical field. But what the text shows:

“After all, when he married me he knew he would have

to clothe me. (Angrily) I only wish I had money of mu own.”

Now Mrs. Winslow enters with a gift box the room when they were sitting on the sofa after fighting on the costly hat. Seeing her Andy leaves the room knowingly and Mrs.

Winslow tries to understand Effie describing her old self-made story. Effie accepts her advice and is ready to return the hat with a happy heart when her husband reaches home now Andy is happy. As the text shows:

“Effie: Every word.  You were right. I have been selfish.

But I am different now. We must think of the future.

WE must economize.”

Now Andy and Effie are happy at home. In the meanwhile a knock is made at the door Andy goes to open the door and thanks Mrs. Winslow to help him in making befool Effie with her self-made story of her husband. Somehow Effie eavesdrops their all conversation and now understands the whole situation made both of them against her. Now Effie refuses to return the hat and it is the most humorous situation in the play.
