Business and workers both will suffer

Recently we have seen a number of new rules replacing the existing ones which has made life of workers a little more complicated in Australia. Some of these rules are related to foreign workers on work visa and some of these rules will make a difference on everyone including local workers. And the latest sufferers are corporate foreign workers on Visa 457. There Visa will not be renewed after their current tenure will end.

In Australia where small business is looking to legislate a different maximum payment system is under a disputed situation. According to new rules declared by Australian government the low paid workers are going to suffer because they will suffer Penalty cut on Sundays and all other holidays which mean the lowest paid workers and their families are going to have 25% lesser money to spend from coming July.

Most of the sufferers will be students or part time/full time hospitality workers for whom penalty rates are not extra income in any way but they rely on this income to pay their bills for homes, electricity and fees.

As matter of fact, any change in existing conditions add to woes and increase uncertainties to the business and counties like Australia suffer more than any other due limited workforce available here. But the present changes are inevitable as the government under the present ruling party is looking for see changes since it’s under tremendous pressure from different quarters.

We are not yet sure how the smaller business would survive if the present workforce decides to quit so either the business owners would pay as before or have to shut down. Most probably there will be some compromises from all the parties concerned as no one wants to shut down their business and start all over again.

As far larger business operators are concerned, according to rules they pay very little or don’t pay at all as penalty cut.
