We live in a society, which, unfortunately, is not characterized by good spiritual health. The largest number of suicides, abuse spreader widely, binge drinking, drugs – all this makes us start to take interest in ourselves as individuals and society, to look deeper and realize what means for us this frustrating statistics. Only better understanding our behavior’s provisions, which are often subconscious and programmed in the past of individual or the society, we will take effective to solve these problems.
Bullying, like the other ways of abuse manifestation, is the consequence of the low emotional literacy of the society, and thus the reason of the many socialization failures, befalling our youth. It is time to stop bullying epidemic.
While we are talking more about the characteristics of the phenomenon of children and adolescents, but it is typical not only for children and teenagers – bullying takes place in the family also, and among the adult in the work place. Sometimes bullying is confused with a sense of humor – it is said that children are only joking. However, a key difference from the joke is that bullying purpose is to hurt, humiliate others.
Children can mock and hurt each other in a variety of ways. There can be direct and indirect bullying: direct bullying – when a child is openly attacked, abused by their peers, nicknamed, offended and so on. Indirect bullying we call such behavior when a child is hurt without direct aggression. It can be a child’s rejection from the group, ignored, nobody communicate with him, hate incitement against children.
We can also exclude forms of bullying according to what the aggression is used to hurt a child. Verbal bullying – when a child is hurt, abused by words and notes. It can be nicknaming, intimidation, mocking remarks about the human body, religion, nationality, disability, view, jokes, the notes about the child, the child humiliating messages send via mobile phones, e-mail, the slander, defamation.
Physical – is rudeness action: knock down, kicking, punching, shoving, spitting, taking away child’s stuff or its damaging, clothing damage, picking hair, tweaks and similar actions. This is a well known behavior, which often is referred as jargon.
Bullying can take place in a wide range of places: school and back yard, at home, and everywhere else where children meet and socialize. Quantitatively more bullying going on in schools – it is the environment, where for a long time are more child. In another environment – in the yard, on the playground – children have more space, there they can be as much as they wish, to choose with whom to communicate. In the bullying situation, it is very important the role of the observers – the other children, who see how a child is mocked. The nickname said in front of the whole class is more painful than said face-to-face. The school is a very favorable environment to have such observer audience. Bullying takes place in wide range areas of the school. There is a tendency for bullying takes a time and a place when there is the least of supervision or an adult. There is a lot of bullying going on during the breaks in the class, school yard or in the hallway. Bullying is not a new, but a very old phenomenon. It is very sad that nowadays we can’t easy red of this despicable behavior.

I was bullied by my big male classmate when I was in grade 1. Maybe because I am a girl and skinny that he thought he can bully me.
Well, it happened only once, while me and a classmate were playing rubber bands.
When I went to get my winning of rubber bands on the floor, he kicked those rubber bands. And me being temperemental don't have time to think that he is bigger than me. I immediately hit him with my big bag and punch himon the face.
Good thing the teacher arrived and confronted the both of us. Our parents were made to go to the school the next day.
And we were both reprimanded by our parents. But he was reprimanded much by the principal for trying to bully me.
From then on, he never dared go near me. ha ha ha
