Border- Gavaskar Trophy 3rd Test Match ( Last Innings)

Australia started their 2^nd Innings and was in trial by 152 runs. Australia started with Matt R and David W and India with Spin combo of R Ashwin and R jadeja.

Australia started very poorly and lost its 1^st wicket very early on the team score of 17 runs in 5.1 over’s in the form of David W on the bowling of R Jadeja and then Nathan l was sent as Night watchman to safeguard the other batsman as only 2-3 over’s remaining in the 4^th day of the Match. Nathan L was out bowled by R Jadeja on the team score of 23 runs and that marks the end of the 4^th day of the match as well.

On the 5^th day Australia was in trouble as they were still under trial by 129 runs and with only 8 wickets in hand. In the 1^st session of the 5^th Day, India managed to take both the wickets of Matt R and Aussie Skipper S Smith Cheaply and Aussies were in trouble as they were reduced to only 63 runs at the loss of 4 wickets.

But destiny has something other in the store as both Peter H and S Marsh batted very defensively and safely to negate any more wickets to India and put Australia out of danger of losing this test match. India do managed to get the wicket S Marsh at the Aussie team score of 187 runs but at that time it was all too late and also wicket of Glen M on score of 190 runs but it was all too late.

Australia managed to score 204 runs in 100 over’s at the loss of 6 wickets and the Bottom line of the match is, match ends in a Draw and C pujara was the Man of the match for his great batting.

Writers Analysis:  India was closer to win this match but it was very great batting of Peter H and S Marsh who negate any more wickets to India and that has resulted in drawing this test match.
