Every mom looked forward to the arrival of her newborn with an excited feeling, anxious and bursting with emotions.
With the arrival of her newborn baby, this is the most important time for family members to extend their bonding relationship between parents, siblings and welcoming a new family member with warmth and love.

The formation of bonding that happens naturally between mom and baby starts right after the child is born, in the delivery room or the hospital bedroom.
This is the moment where the newborn baby emotions developed, with the deep affections from his parents ( both mom and dad ).
No doubt, the strongest relationship is between the mother and child bonding .
When the mother first held her newborn baby in her arms, the child will focus on his mother for hours ( especially the first time when he opens his eyes ).
These are the methods how the baby and mom bonding built up gradually.
Breastfeeding is one of the closest contact between the baby and mom.
Many women found that breastfeeding is a rewarding task for baby care.
Some moms feel ashamed of their small breast, insufficient production of breast milk for the baby, feeling lost, anxiety , anger for lack of ability to become a mom that she was supposed to be.
Hence enhancement of breastfeeding knowledge is essential for new moms, to learn how to latch the baby to her breast and how to produce sufficient breast milk for her baby.
The mother and baby bonding development is important that all hospital should encourage mother and baby to stay in the same room right after birth until discharge from the hospital.
Nevertheless, there are some hospitals that separate newborn baby from the mother and restrict the access of mom to her baby who is located in the baby room ( with other babies)
Hence, only mother could watch her baby from the glass cubicle.
I was separated from my baby right after delivery.
The breastfeeding bonding process enhanced once the baby’s mouth is latched to the mother’s breast.
That is when the close contact with the mother’s skin, enable the baby to feel, touch and smell his mother.
Gradually, the baby will focus on his mother’s facial expression.
Most babies will respond with a smile, satisfaction tone and burps.
This increases the bonding between both mother and baby quickly.
Besides mother, the second person to enhance the bonding with the child is the FATHER.
Most dads are “afraid” to carry the baby after delivery and the first week at home.
However, fathers should be encouraged to bond his relationship with his newborn spontaneously.
Researches had shown that father who had witnessed the birth of his child in the delivery room with his wife and doctor in charged, is likely felt closer to the baby, compare to those who were waiting outside.
Although father could not reach the optimum level of bonding, talking, carrying and humming hymns to the baby helped the baby the recognize and respond to the next person closest to him ( besides the mother ).

I found it very easy to bond with my newborns. Maintaining that bond as they got older, especially when they made it into their teen years? WOW! Super hard! The outside influences are like monsters!

Yes I agree with you that when our kids become teens, it is harder to bond the relationship, different opinion and ideas
When they are young, it is easier to get them listen to us and lots of hugs, kisses, when they are older, they push us away from hugs and kisses
Nature bonds a mother and the baby. It is a natural instinct. Just look how a baby behaves even the moment it is born. It will give out its first cry. It will smile. It knows how to suck the milk. The list is endless.
