I have just read a news item that says ‘scientist have developed trees which absorb Carbon dioxide. I am somewhat confused what is wrong with real trees, just what the heck this world is coming to? I think some non-nature lovers are trying to play with nature.
I have been reading right from my childhood that trees are our lifeline and as important to human beings as food and water but did we ever care? I have been reading that to keep air of your town cool and clean we should cover at least 40% of city areas with trees. But look at my neighbors they find fallen leaves from my trees on the road in front of my home as source of litter.
They do not say it on my face but that’s what I have heard through other people in my neighborhood. They should know that each tree is capable of cleaning toxic emissions from the atmosphere that we pollute day in and day out.
Should I draw picture to tell my ignorant neighbors that trees are the best source of conserving other resources like water and soil? I think even a child knows that jungles, gardens and forests are some of the best source of keeping soil in place, especially in hilly areas.
Trees are the best source of conserving the rainwater in place by saving it their roots and letting it run off the soil that helps water soaks in the soil. Do they know that had it not been for trees the intensity of floods would be much higher? Yes, trees break and stop the flow of water during flood time.
I think people are trying to bring artificial in place of natural. Artificial perhaps is going to be new natural and the new nature would be controlled by people who hate nature or replace everything natural with artificial.
I hope to see Mother Nature survive until I am alive. I will not stop planting and heck with my whining neighbors.

Same goes with my neighbors too.
They had made a complain against my mother-in-law when the cactus leaves and coconut leaves withered and dropped into their compound.
When those trees are old, of course leaves would dropped .
All they have to do is just throw those leaves away.
Instead, they told my mother-in-law to chop off our cactus and coconut trees.
You know what?
They had killed these trees themselves, by spraying weed killers .
Yup, my trees had died
