American Air Strikes in Syria

I am not, never have been, never will be, a Trump supporter.   I say this at the outset.

I know a number of people, non-white, non-Christian, the kind Trump would deport in a heartbeat, who Support him.   People who defend his every fart.

There are people who post on Facebook, until their fingers virtually bleed, in support of Donald Trump.  No matter what he does, says, they support him.

Until yesterday.

Suddenly, after the air strikes in Syria, all those who supported Trump; those misguided non-white, non-Christians are showing shock and fear.

Why?

Donald Trump is unpredictable, unstable.  He does what occurs to him at the moment without thought of consequences.  He has always been like that.   It isn’t new.

He’ll get a microphone in his face and say the most repulsive things about people, lie, and lie again.  This is how he ‘stays’.

Donald Trump does not have any ‘political’ or ‘social’ base.   He has no ‘policy’.   He shoots his mouth and attacks and the fact that what he says is untrue or unrealistic, that his promises can not be fulfilled,  doesn’t mean anything because what he said yesterday is forgotten.

This is how he was, is, will be.

Those, as I, who never supported him, know this.  We know that one can not be sure of what he will do or say and that there need be no consistency.

That he ran behind Vladimir Putin does not mean that he can be trusted to have Putin’s back.  That he said America would stay out of fights against Assad, means nothing.

That Putin relied on him Not to attack Syria is Putin’s error.

Trump saw the reports on the News.

Trump did not need real proof that the poison gas came from Assad or the Rebels.   He decided it was Assad and so attacked.  That he, this same Trump, banned Syrian refugees from the United States does not need to match his actions, because he is erratic.  Always have been.  Always will be.

He decided to attack, sent a message to Russia, and attacked.

One makes the assumption he might do a similar act with North Korea.

Will Trumps toe cleaners be surprised about that?

There is a famous story;

Brer Scorpion asked Brer Turtle to take him across the river.  Brer Turtle said; “How can I do that?  You will sting me, and I will drown.” Brer Scorpion said, “But if I do that, we both will drown.”

Bending to the logic, Brer Turtle let Brer Scorpion get on his back and began swimming across the river.  As they reached the middle, Brer Scorpion stung Brer Turtle.

“How could you do that?  We both will drown!” exclaimed Brer Turtle.

“It is my nature,”  replied Brer Scorpion.

    • If the USA (or any nation) has or had the power to act on behalf of the innocents for this egregious inhumane and horrific attack, then they are morally obligated to step up to the plate and start swinging. If a leader can use chemical weapons on his own citizens, what would he do to those people he believes are his enemies? Assad is scary!

      • What shocks me, is that many of his blabbering supporters are upset about it. To me, well... I expected it. I don't know why, but it was like, when I heard the news it was like hearing 'due to the flooding, a state of emergency was called'.

I would have assumed anyone who supported/voted for Trump would expect a reaction, would assume there will be something like this in North Korea.

      • Civil wars are always the worst. And neither side will stop and even if it stops, the resentment will last for generations.
