Some people think that writing sites which rip them off, do so inadvertently. The assumption is some decent chap tried to create a really good publishing platform, but due to unforeseen economic problems, was unable to meet his obligations and the pressure got so great he had to, alas, close his site.
Then, there are those who see the creation of a Scam from day one. Before they join they do their ‘due diligence’ and carefully calculate the pay out, the quality, or lack thereof of items already published, do the math and decide; “This is a Scam.”
If they make this revelation early in life of the so-called writing site they are attacked by Shills. Shills who know they are Shills, because they are paid to be Shills, those who don’t realise they are suckers acting as Shills.
A Shill is a person who is the front wo/man for a Scammer. A shill is a person ‘just like you’. The Shill, who knows he is a Shill, has a vested interest in attacking anyone who in any way attacks the site. This is because they are Paid, directly or virtually, to do this.
The innocent user of the site, who is going to be ripped off can control by how much. If one writes, reaches the pay out, stops, makes the request for the pay out, and doesn’t write another word until receipt, that limits the rip.
Being paid once does not prove the site is legitimate. All sites usually make that first pay out; save those which Never let you reach it; i.e. expertscolumn which will suppress your earnings so that you virtually NEVER will be able to put in for your ‘redemption.’
Those who follow this method will suffer less rip off than those who get that first pay out, decide the site is legitimate, and write on and on, assuming the next payout(s) are merely ‘late.’
You don’t need a degree in economics to appreciate that if a site earns in 1c it can not pay out 1c. Hence, one needs to have some sense of how much money the site earns from the ads, from the views of the ads, to set up a ‘working model’.
Money comes from the advertisers. How much do these advertisers pay to put their unseeen ads on a page containing amateur writing on the Internet?
How many viewers, seeing these ads actually click on them? One in ten thousand?
Visitors?
Sure, if one claims to pay for comments and likes, then members of the site will run around, commenting and liking, making it seem, to the advertiser, that there was 100k hits. But then again, how much does the advertiser pay for hits?
In the now sadly departed Triond, the user knew, before the first key stroke how many hundreds of thousands of hits was needed to earn $25. You knew, for example, if your item was published under this subheading it was 1c for every six views. You knew if you got 600 views you earned $6.00.
Other sides are kind of deceptive as to how many hits are needed to earn that $6.00.
And of course, as soon as one mentions ‘hits’ the fact is; how do you know, for a FACT how many hits you really got?
Many sites play with your hits. You may have gotten 100 but the site claims you got 10. Unless you have smuggled a count checker into your item, you don’t know. You have to ‘trust them’.
Trust?
Many sites spring up run by pure blooded scammers. They create the site as a scam. It never was not a scam. That people don’t realise this, because they ‘were always paid until…..’ only makes them Judas Goats; that is one who leads others to the ‘slaughter’.
