Obama eats in a street food restaurant in Nagasaki: Wishful thinking

You know guys what politicians and celebrities can do for publicity. At a time when the United States of America is busy in the contest in between Hilary Clinton and Donald trump President Obama is busy in a campaign for increasing his popularity in the Eastern countries. The news item says it all “Obama stops off for $6 dinner at street side restaurant in Vietnam”

I will not go into the detail about his meal with TV chef Anthony Bourdain, or how the restaurant owner Nguyen Thi Lien felt in Hanoi when she saw Obama in her restaurant sitting on a plastic stool but it is all about the US President’s ambition to recover some of the lost reputation due to Vietnam War.

We all know America has always been at the point of criticism in this communist country and probably Obama is eager to lift the ban of arms procurement imposed on Hanoi. He is trying his best to maintain better relations with all the countries with bad relations in the past.

There is no doubt whatsoever that Obama has always been ready to bring all Asian powers in the US camp but the so-called human right activities and activist in America has always prevented him from doing so and I have no hesitation that America has always misused this particular concept in its favor.  However, the scenario is different now as China is ready to take the advantage.

The Japan is next stop for Obama having somewhat similar situation despite having good relation with this country but the ghost of Hiroshima and Nagasaki will follow Obama there too. Barack Obama the Nobel Prize winner for Peace has already said that he will not say a word on what happened during world War-2 but I am sure the two countries will move on and do something for the future of the world. Let’s hope Obama eats in a street food restaurant in Nagasaki. For the time being it is Obama and his love for eastern countries curtsey China.

    • Obama is someone I really admire. He is not snobbish and drunk on power. And more importantly, he is sympathetic towards third world countries.

    • @suny You took me back to my holiday in the US when we were taken to an Indian restaurant where Bill clinton was a regular customer.

The Prime Minister of Cambodia reached to a police station driving his own bike and paid his fine money. He was caught driving without helmet. It is something that our politicians should learn how to behave in public.

    • what an experience i am sure. i really like how Obama is willing to try most things at least once and learn from others!
