Say Thanks to Have More Blessings

It is basic for a person to say “thank you” or express a sense of gratitude to a person who had done something good to him; one who offered his time, effort, money or resources to make the life of another easy.

A person could be so selfless; he could offer all or part of what he got to make another person live comfortably like him. It is aimed at making the dependent person see the need to make efforts too to improve himself. If he expresses gratitude to that person helping him, he will get more blessings because that person will realise that he is worthy to be helped.

Biting the Hand That Feeds

There is a saying that you should not bite the hand that feeds you! Or do not hurt the person that is helping you. One such incident related to this was when a person who had been helping a young girl with her studies posted bad words about that person in her Facebook post. The “donor” read what she said and cut all her support to the girl. So she lost her “blessings!”

It is so inspiring to help a person who strives so much by himself; not merely waiting for help, but he is so patient, doing all things to make both ends meet. There are so many stories like this on television documentary shows, and so many well-off persons may had extended or shared some money to help those poor people. It is better to directly give them the monetary assistance for their immediate needs. They can feel that there are still good people who are willing to help them.

In return, they must show gratitude. One way is by continuously improving their lives on their own, find ways to survive decently, and impart good virtues to their children. The mere act of saying “thank you” is one of the good attitudes that should not be lost even in these modern times. It brings positivity and more willingness of people to help those in need.

    • How ungrateful that student is to post like that about her benefactor. I would do the same if a person would speak even a single bad word about me.

This kind of people are not the people to be helped. Had the benefactor continued helping her, for sure when she finally finished her studies and gets a job, she will forget thanking and being kind to her benefactor.

It was a blessing in disguise after all for the benefactor, that she has known the real person of that student.

      • Thanks Dina. Yes, it could be a blessing in disguise because the benefactor knew the real character of that student she had been helping. The student said sorry, but it was late and their good relationship was broken. It really pays to be thankful for whatever blessings that come, or for persons who are willing to help another.
