Strong body odor can put you off

Oh summers, and the worst thing related to summer is the bad body odor. I mean sometimes I use public transport especially the local bus in case I don’t feel like going to my office by motorbike or drive a car in peak hours which is always a difficult proposition. Now, there is one more reason to use public transport, the odd-even scheme that allows you to use your car on alternate days.

On the way by bus to my workplace, I sometimes feel like shouting ‘go take shower guys’. I hate bad body odor and people smelling foul that have long and loud telephonic conversations especially on Monday the first working day after a long weekend.

In fact, I hate people who push in while the bus is too packed or those who don’t move to let others in or off, people who don’t move their feet to let others sit on the seat near them (which is otherwise a rare thing though). I look at the college students, both boys and girls having heavy bags on their backs with no care for people standing behind or in front of them while speaking and laughing at full volume.

Today it was for the elderly businessman with whom I found so annoying I was looking at him because he was on the phone for all 30 minutes ever since he boarded the bus ahead of me and he was so loud talking about rates of onions all the time and insisting his partner to buy as much stock as he possibly afford to buy repeating almost the same words over and over again.

You know what is one thing that makes me angry, the people who have bad body odor and to add to that their bad breath that can kill a person like me only if they turn towards me and spoke 2-3 long lines.  I agree we all drink and eat things which smell bad but we all have a thing called tooth brush. But when you smell like something that resembles to dead fish- phew, I wish I could jump of the bus and walked all the way to my work.

So what does give your body this foul smell? Normally the sweat is produced from glands, ovulation, sexual excitation, stress or anger can also put the apocrine, the sweat glands into action but the main reason of bad body odor is lack of hygiene and therefore your body to produces strong foul odor. Some people use a medicine regularly which also is one of the causes of different kinds of smells, some of which can be very intolerable in general.

We all know that we can keep the body odor away easily with home remedies and following a few simple methods that can keep body odor away. Like one can maintain personal hygiene by simply wiping underarms, clean those particular body parts regularly which produce the most odor, Eat more green vegetables or quit smelly food, drink enough water and finally maintain personal hygiene as much as you can.

    • I guess, when one doesn't speak for many minutes, the moment she speaks, her mouth would emit a bad breath. That's natural i think.

Though, if her breath is foul even after she has brushed her teeth , then something is really wrong with her. It could either be that she has bad teeth or she has some underlying problem from inside her body>

My hubby when we were still sweethearts has a bad breath. I know that it's not because of his teeth because it's the same smell of breath even if he has taken a brush of his teeth.

So, he had an endoscopy. There the doctor showed me the inside of his stomach. Some bile in his stomach were stuck.

He was prescribed a medicine and after a month his bad breath is gone.

    • It is so offending to smell someone in a crowded bus, that would make you hold your breath for so long so as not to inhale that foul odor! It is so bad especially when the weather is so hot and the stink can add to the discomfort.
