Water shortage and our duties

I was just reading an article on Literacybas which described the importance of water in humans’ life. True there is no life without water and the day water would no more available there won’t be any life remaining, therefore we must use it very cautiously and simply go for water conservation and rainwater harvesting as there is no alternate of this.

They should take this on the priority list with immediate effect before it gets too late. Chances of making it a success are remote and out of sight in near future unless they make an all out effort. I had been in Bangalore one of the best cities of India for a long time where it used to be no shortage of water in last decade but it’s not so now.

Now there is an acute shortage of water and one tanker of water costs about $30. The local government has made it mandatory to fix water conservation or harvesting in each house but very few follow the rule as usual. They even refuse to sanction a house plan if the system not installed in a house, but there is much more to do yet.

There are many more efforts to do to save water, which is going down the drain. Save it for the future of your future generation. Otherwise, the future looks very bleak. I think I have mentioned in other websites and tried to make people aware of a big problem that we are going to face in very near future especially with such a big population that we have in our country that has not enough to drink.

Therefore, there is a dire need to make programs and go all out but you know our government is not at all worried and doing a thing in this direction and making only plans and not implementing them with firmness would take us nowhere. The way we are wasting water and doing nothing to store it. We are going to face a big problem in near future in case we do not act now.

    • Yes water is a great element of life. We do everything with water without water humans can't leave ,infact there will be no living thing without water.

    • Here in the Philippines, when summer comes the rivers and small body of waters dry out.

Even our deep well , last summer didn't have water even if we keep pumping it. The hot water dried it up.

Another problem is that garbages are thrown by undisciplined people in rivers. That's why also the rivers cannot be relied upon to get water for the plants and for laundry.

Even our drinking water cannot just be gotten from the faucet anymore because we are scared that the source is dirty . We buy our drinkng water, which is another expense.

Oh summer is coming for sure, the now functioning deep well will not function again because It will be dried up again. :(
