West Indies Beat Sri Lanka in Tri series, 2013

India and Sri Lanka was scheduled to play a 7 Match One Day International Tri Series in West Indies in 2013. All teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 2,3 and 6. The 1st ONE DAY international match was to be played on Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad, and West Indies on 11th July 2013 between West Indies and Sri Lanka. India holds the upper hand as they are more experienced team and playing very well as well.

Sri Lanka did not bat very well and was able to post total of only 208 runs in 48.3 over’s at the loss of 10 wickets and with top scores of Angelo M who made 55 runs in 77 balls with 5 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 71 runs in 100 balls and M jaya who made 52 runs in 52 balls with 7 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 100 runs in 100 balls.

West Indies was needed to score 209 runs in 50 over’s to win this match.

West Indies batted well and was able to chase the target of 209 runs in 37.5 over’s at the loss of 4 wickets and won the game by 6 wickets in hand and with top contributions from Chris G who made 109 runs in 100 balls with 9 4’s and 7 sixes at the strike rate of 109 runs in 100 balls.

West Indies won the match by 6 wickets in hand.
