Writing and Posting an Ebook

Years ago there were two magnificent and linked services; there was Booktango and Bookcountry.  You’d write your book, you’d upload it, and then pick your cover, set your audience and your price, and you were done.

I adored these two sites simply because they were easy.

One thing you know, if a site is easy to use, it is worth using.  If it gives you too many hurdles to jump, find somewhere else.

Those of us who like to write on line can regale others with sites which demand images of certain sizes or demand a pile of links, bold faced, images, before publication.

Writing an ebook brings out the same kind of; I can’t be bothered.

Booktango and Bookcountry were darling.  Easy, no problem, and paid.  I did receive payment when my book sold.

Of course, all good things end, and both sites went down.

One can not publish there any more.  All the items are still there, but no new ones can be uploaded.

This meant I would have to search for a new site.

Now there are sites like Nook, which are MUST AVOIDS.  They want too much information and make things very uncomfortable.

Then there is a site I’ve just found called Bookrix.   So far, it’s easy, seems straight forward enough, and maybe it will prove to be economic.

I like to write fiction, sometimes it is easier to put something into a story about invented characters than try to talk to them in real life.

We all have our little family/friend issues which sometimes lead to have ex-family and ex-friend issues.  I find, mapping it out in a story gives me an insight into what I should/should not say, or why something might have happened.

In other cases I love science fiction so tend to live in that genre.

If you want to write an ebook, look for an easy site that doesn’t demand much.
