14th Feb. not only Valentine’s Day, but we have Internatioanl Books Giving Day!

14th , February, all of focus are on our lovers and on how to celebrate or purchase a romantic gifts to our lovers.
In fact, this day should not only limited to the love between the lovers, but it’s a celebration for all the adults and kids too, why? It is because it is International Book Giving Day!

This days, the loves can be forwarded to those books lovers and book worms and some potential book lovers if we gift them some good book and a key to enter to the reading world on this day!

Some of my friends have some good ideas on what book and how to give a book to your kids or some of the children outside on this day. We may should do it yesterday, but it never be late for giving a good book to the children and teenagers to encourage them to read more as knowledge is power.

Tips on what can we do on International Book Giving Day:
1. Give a good book to the little kid you know or kid of your friend or relative or neighbour;
2. Put a good book in the lobby or waiting space that many children will be there and waiting;
3. Donate a book to a place needed, e.g the nursery, day care center, orphan center, etc;
4. Donate some new or used books to some places needed it, like hospital, international association, etc.

Hope you find some ideas on how to give away book to other or children. In fact, we can share our used books with some of our friends, relatives, nephew, so we need not to purchase the same new book but can share and save some cost. Moreover, we can read more titles in this way.

And, I like to sell some of my used books via a Facebook group too. I can reduce some book stocks at home and make my book shelves have more space for new books, and can have some little money back for purchasing some new books too. Moreover, this can help other to have the book they like with lower price compared to new one.

One stone kills two birds, isn’t it cool?

    • So it's also International Book Giving Day yesterday , February 14. I didn't know that. All I know is that it was Valentine's day yesterday.

      That being the International Book Giving Day, we can hit two birds in one two when we give the children books on Valentine's day. It means it's a gift for Valentine's Day and for International Book Giving Day.

    • @Dina, good idea! Does the kid need to celebrate Valentine's Day too? I thought this is only the festival for adults? :P

      Anyway, hope the public will donate some books to the kids too beside gifting some roses to their lovers.

      Hope I can donate more books to the children whom needed them too next year. Keep my figure crossed.
