NCIS is a ‘police procedural’. Only the characters are not Police. The initials stand for Naval Criminal Investigation Service. It is a unit which works for the Navy and besides murders of military personnel they have a connection with Homeland Security, the F.B.I and C.I.A.
It has a large portfolio so that it can explore many different stories.
It is, as all procedural, episodic. Beyond the characters and venue, there is little linking this episode to that one. It is a great show to use when viewing a novel put to screen. To break up the various ‘chapters’ of a ‘Story Arc’, using a show like NCIS to distract is useful.
One should never watch two shows which are novels put to screen. It makes it difficult to follow more than one plot per viewing. It becomes confusing and detracts from each series.
Watching episodic programmes, which begin, run, and end, are excellent ‘filler’ between episodes of the ‘novel’.
Just as if you were watching television there’s be Show One from 8 to 9, Show Two from 9 to 10 and maybe Show Three from 10 to 11, one can do the same when watching online. Hence, NCIS, which is episodic can be watched in any blank space.
The characters are interesting.
There is Jethro Gibbs, who is in charge of the team, made up of skirt chaser De Nozo, the attractive female, (the first was killed, the second didn’t last, the third has a background in Mossad), the geeky ‘Probie’ , McGee, the whacky but brilliant Abbey who does the Lab work, and ‘Ducky’, the Doctor who does the autopsies.
Ducky is played by David McCallum.
In the early 60s David McCallum appeared on a popular show called; “The Man From Uncle”. He and his character were incredibly popular, he was called ‘The Blonde Beatle’ and received more fan mail than anyone before or since.
When the show ended he seemed to disappear and now has reappeared in this role.
The stories move quickly, the interplay in the characters is somewhat interesting, and Abbey is always a screen grabber in her crazy Goth outfits.
It is a show worth watching.

Is it new episodes of reruns?
The series is not complete. For many people who don't live in the U.S. they either never got to watch the entire series, or saw a few episodes here and there.
If you live in the 3rd or 4th world many of these series are only available in complete form online.
Hence, watching an entire season is new and enjoyable.
I like this TV Series. I had watched it until the end. I am still waiting to have the clear of The Walking Dead. Some people cannot appreciate the setting of this TV series. But it is so entertaining for me. The platform and the story ignite the excitement while watching it. I feel like being in the movie scene.
